The ingredients are literally "peanuts, sugar, palm oil, and salt" which are all natural. However, the FDA specifically defines peanut butter as having at least 90% peanuts and a maximum 55% fat: https://www.mashed.com/1175834/he...er-spread/

Spreads have less peanuts and more fat than peanut butter.

palm oil is solid at room temperature. peanut oil is not, which is why it floats to the top of some peanut butters and has to be stirred back in. this stuff doesn't have to be stirred and they consider that important enough to mention it in big letters on the front of the jar

So let's assume it's 80% peanuts. What's the other 20?? Palm oil????

Or is it 95% peanuts, but over 55% fat because of the palm oil?

I'm still confused.

I get grind your own just roasted peanuts and salt….I can't imagine why they have to add a foreign oil other than skimming off the peanut oil to sell at a higher price and replacing it with a cheaper oil.

there's more sugar than palm oil in it. it's 6.25% added sugar (2g added sugar per 32g serving) so palm oil has to be less than 6.25% of it since it's listed after sugar on the ingredients

The jars I got had about 1 inch oil on top and had to be stirred. I put mine upside down in fridge unopened and it helped a bit with less stirring

i wonder if that happened because it got hot on the way to your house. i've never had that problem getting it from the grocery store

i was originally going to get this but decided to get the regular skippy 5-pound jar instead since apparently it has a higher % of peanuts and maybe tastes better
