Mallrats also $4.99. Worth a watch if you like having sex in a place that's uncomfortable.

I never said it's dumb to buy digital, I said there are a lot of us that still buy physical copies. Also, phone internet doesn't matter, as if I'm watching a movie, I'm not going to succumb to the crappy quality I would get from streaming off of my cell phone. There are plenty of times where either I don't have internet, or more often, I want higher quality viewing.
Um, that's not true. I generally only buy a movie if I can get 4K, Blu-ray, and digital copy. I want tons of movies to choose from in case there's no internet, or when I want to watch something at a higher quality. There's a lot of us out there.

I agree though, when you have no rush shipping credits, might as well buy something digital.

Genuine question - out of interest, has any movie ever been pulled so a person that has bought it has lost the right to play it?
My digital copy of Toy Story 2 has a credits scene censored. Its still in then credits on my 12 year old Blu-ray copy. There's more censorship than there have been rights revoked.

If digital copies don't have the bonus materials (director commentary, deleted scenes, the making of, etc) that physical copies do, then that's another benefit of owning physical copies.

Folks...digital purchases do not equal physical discs. Should Amazon lose the digital rights for these titles, you lose too. Not to mention the ridiculous compression used to stream a title. Yes, digital is convenient, but you subject yourselves to the whim of the studio/Amazon contracts at a severely compressed viewing/sound experience. This is the risk and potential loss you take. Google physical media vs streaming... don't take my word. The good news is, if you own the physical disc, you can play it over and over without risk of contract negotiations.

If you really want to see that movie or title, get a Blu-ray player or even better, a 4K Blu-ray player if you have a 4K TV and rent from Redbox. It is far cheaper than paying for a digital title and much better quality for your viewing experience. And no, I do not work for Redbox. C'mon... digital title cost is about twice the price of renting from Redbox.
Hey, bud, I totally agree with you and I know lots of folks downvoted you which seems to be the way.
Let me tell you that, I come from the BlockBuster era, something these Gen Z don't even understand, do I love the BB idea, believe me, I used to look forward, sometimes we friend just go BB, pick a free popcorn they used to give it on Friday nights I guess, browse through new, old, genre-wise movies and then, rent the newly released movies for 24 hours period. It was a time and era of that, probably those who come from the VHS era might hate the idea of renting movies for 24 hours rather than owning a VHS tape.
I still love the BB idea, it was a fun outing and meeting with friends and browsing movies from the shelves.
Then, came the change of Netflix red envelope, who adapted it, I believe we BB people adapted it the first thing, I remember now instead of going to BB, we used to wait eagerly to go to the mailbox for the Red Envelope with a new movie delivered to our homes, now we don't even have to drive to BB, we eventually killed BB.
Now, came another change of online streaming, where we don't even have to wait for an envelope or mail and return the DVDs, we also used to borrow movies from Libraries at that time.
I still have Blu-ray Player 4K and at least 50-60 Blu-Ray DVDs, but let me tell you I didn't even know when was the last time I pick a DVD put it in the player and watch it.
This is called change and we humans adapt to it.
I am pretty sure if I ask here there might be lots of folks who come from the BB era and they would have loved it too.
So every time a digital movie deal comes in, we don't have to come up with old times for a physical disc-owning topic.

Disk rot exists. I guess you should just film your own movies.
