Edit: As expected, now that this is public info they patched it. The zip code check is still client side so it seems like it's possible to bypass still but I did not investigate any further.

Original post below:

Originally I didn't want to make this method too easy because it'll be easy for them to patch out, but now I'm getting a lot of DMs and people asking for gifts for referrals, and that's not really something I wanted to see so I'll post the exact method for less tech savvy people to use (keep in mind that they can still easily patch this).

I can't seem to edit the wiki (I guess because I'm a "new user" despite being on here for 9 years; maybe because my reputation is too low). So if anyone else wants to edit this in, go for it.

This method is provided AS IS; USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

So the method is simple:
1. Use a modern, desktop browser; I can't be bothered to write/transpile this to support older browsers
2. Open dev tools (for chrome it's just F12, for others you may have to google it)
3. Go through sign up. For EVERY page that you see zip code, paste the code below into the devtools and press enter. This includes the initial sign up page + address page + final payment page.
const original = Object.getOwnPropertyDescriptor(window, 'fetch');
Object.defineProperty(window, 'fetch', Object.assign({}, original, {
value: function (path, options) {
if (typeof path !== 'string' || path !== '/api/authCheck') {
return original.value.apply(this, arguments);
}
const bodyObj = JSON.parse(options.body);
bodyObj.zip = '33125';
options.body = JSON.stringify(bodyObj);
return original.value.call(this, path, options);
}
}));

Remember that this resets every time the page changes, so you have to re-paste it.

If this worked for you, I ask that you share your 2 referrals with the community and upvote this message.

Thanks!

Edit: do the code above before you press any kind of continue or submit button.
Is this a sneaky crypto ad? I remember hearing about Helium in the news a while back, and it was about how they were using crypto to incentivize running Helium nodes. Is that still going on or have they pivoted to a non-crypto model?
This doesn't require you to mine, buy, invest, shill, or do anything with cryptocurrency.
The crypto stuff is optional. Only enable if you want that.

Just treat it like a super cheap phone plan.

Looks like Helium Mobile is coming out of beta.

It's available today to those in the Miami area for $5+taxes and fees. It will slowly be rolling out to other areas soon.

Current beta testers will be upgraded to the $5 price as well even if they are not in Miami.

Depending on your phone model, it may use an eSim or a combination of eSim/pSim.
What network?

It runs on the tmobile network and will also process data through Helium 5g hotspots when available.

I've been beta testing it for a little bit and it's pretty sweet.
In my galaxy s20 ultra, I'm running a visible pSim as my primary and the helium eSim as my secondary..

I was actually on a road trip the other day and didn't have any verizon coverage in the area, but I was able to quickly switch over to Helium with 2 taps with no issues.

I'm a little confused. If I'm not in Miami, but I receive a referral, can I still join? Thanks

Yes. With a referral you can sign up from anywhere in the US.
Without a referral, sign up is only from Miami atm.

Each beta account only got two referrals.

Hey, I got this Helium service a couple months ago for free while in beta. I'm using it on a backup phone and kept my Google Fi service and I gotta say the Helium has been a better service as far as data and service areas. The Google service has kinda been disappointing but the Helium has been a surprise. I planned on cancelling once it came out of beta but at $5 a month I guess I'm going to keep it and keep evaluating it. If I wasn't waiting on promo credits with Google Fi I think I would have moved my primary service to Helium. I hope this helps someone and let me know if you have any questions.

Not a sneaky crypto ad.
I didn't even mention the location mapping which you can enable in order to earn MOBILE tokens on the Solana chain.(It's off by default, you need to turn it on through the app if you want it)

It's just a slick deal for decent service.

Stay away!

The helium hotspot are individual people who have them plugged into their home internet service provider.

This most likely is a T&C violation which can potentially get them booted off of their ISP.

On the up side, for $5 a month you get 30GB of data bucket in T-Mobile 5G network. You also get 30GB of CBRS data bucket to use on the helium hotspot network

Has anyone tried using a pseudo-Miami address and signed up successfully for esim?
