Been this price for some time, but I'm always happy to see deals called out again. I got one the last time for this price, and didn't bother to "upgrade" to a new one because the one I got seemed to me brand new as is.

I also got the "open box" 2x12 Archon Stealth cab from them, also looks and packaged like brand new, as well as a bunch of their heavily discounted Fender and Squier models. Really liking ProAudioStar.

I think it should be a great guitar. The main difference is that this doesn't come with a piezo pickup. Also, the body is made of mahogany rather than maple and the inlays are perloid, rather than abalone. The difference in wood is mostly cosmetic and shouldn't make any tonal difference once you plug it in. Playing unplugged, it should have a bit of a darker tone than HB II.

Honestly, that's a great price and probably deserves its own thread.

Hey man! Wave Nice! I do like the fact that they use the Korean 1000-series Floyds on those.

Its the same body as the Jackson DK2 modern that many of us including killatone bought but heavier. Both Jackson and Charvel are owned by Fender so very similar. This one is a MIM but I do feel the Jacksons are getting better than Charvel. Honestly haven't had the time to play it yet. Took longer than usual to setup .. Floyd Rose to thank for.

I ordered this 4 days ago and got it today. Like others have said, these appear to be brand new. The guitar has a PRS hang tag that says it was inspected by PRS this past May. The guitar still has plastic over the pickups also. Not a single mark on the guitar or the case. Not a single finger print on the guitar. The neck is almost as fat as a Gibson 50s fat neck, especially after the 12th fret. A few of the fret ends around 20th are a little on the sharpside, not too bad but not perfect like my s2 was. The piezo is awesome! So much fun to blend! I haven't tried the dual out yet, just tried the mixed out and that was surprisingly good! This guitar is a total steal at 899! Not sure how they're doing it at this price, i was expecting to have to deal with a dent or scratches .if you are considering this, you should jump on it!

I couldn't resist, I pulled the trigger. I'm primarily an acoustic player but really wanted to mix in some electric. This literally fits my playing style to a T!

I got this for the exact opposite, im primarily an electric player that wanted to mix in some acoustic. The blended sound is just stunning, never heard these tones before. Im going to try both outputs this weekend! Let us know what you think of it when you get it!

Love mine - how would you exactly setup/configure the dual-out? Would you use a TRS to TS y-splitter?

Really nice guitar. I've wanted this for a couple of years, but after playing a few "wide fat" necks from PRS, I just don't care for it. I wish the same guitar came in the slimmer neck too.
Yeah, PRS guitars don't fit me either. I'm tall and lanky, and their body/neck ratios make me feel like I'm playing a ukulele. Wolfgang guitars are like that too.

Anyway, I own a couple piezo guitars and they're interesting beasts. You can use the pickup as a treble boost, as a "chorus" effect, or to even simulate an acoustic guitar. Hopefully they have this one wired so you can use the passive pickups if the battery dies (that was a common issue with some wiring setups).
