I have these and I have to replace my door lock batteries twice as often compared to Duracell.

The guy linked below did a multibrand test on AA batteries from various sources, but Kirkland wasn't among them. Amazon Basics rated best for overall value (at regular price), even though top brands Energizer and Duracell edged them out with longer life. I use these AAs in cellular linked game cameras and I've been very happy with them for the price. I can't speak to any recent manufacturer changes, but I have a set of these on the way. I hope they perform as well as the last order did.

Edit: I haven't bought the top name brands in quite a while, because they're so expensive and they rarely can be had at a good discount. These suit me just fine at a fraction of the cost, even if they don't last quite as long. I don't really notice any difference in longevity.

Can someone speak to recent quality of these? I believe their rechargeables have complaints lately they are now Chinese made in last year or two and quality on holding charge has dramatically decreased.

Thanks. I will be using them for game cameras as well. I use lithium when the season is in full swing, but these for any other time.

68 batteries for $16 bucks ought to speak of quality huh
I posted a link to a real-world, unbiased test of these against other brands in an earlier comment. Have a look and I think you'll know if these are worth a try for your application. Price and quality don't always directly correlate; the trick is finding the best value for your money. I posted these because they're a reputable brand at an excellent price. AAs: 711K reviews, average 4.7 stars. AAAs: 671K reviews, average 4.7 stars.

I feel your pain; I've been there. I avoid Ray-O-Vacs like the plague for the same reason.
