Chase is once again offering five free night certificates that can be used on properties costing up to 50,000 points per night when you spend $5,000 within the first three months of account opening on the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card.
They ran this promo back in May and I missed the offer. I believe this is the one of the best, if not the best bonus offer for this specific card.

It's hard to get a room at a decent property domestically for 50k. Handful of real options.
A typical free night certificate from most credit cards is only 35K pts/night. 50K/night certificates, and they give you five is pretty amazing...

CSR at least still gets you free food (and food for a guest) at a couple dozen airport bars/restaurants in addition to the normal priority pass+2 guest benefit.... and the travel credit is FAR FAR easier to value at 100% compared to the Amex airline incidentals one.
Plus CSR=Free primary car rental insurance, amex still charges like 25 bucks per rental or something for that.
I was looking at the platinum to get the sub, but I likely won't hold on to the card long term.
For those that are wondering, other than the 85K night certificate, each card is good for different things. Ritz Carlton is good for lounge access for yourself and family/friends and Brilliant is good for Platinum Status. If you don't value either of those things, it may not be worth it.
The way I travel, having at least two 85K certificates would be ideal... 1 doesn't do me much good. I don't tend to do 1 night stays and I really really want to avoid switching hotels. Unless it's a special location positioning strategy, but usually 1 night doesn't allow you to enjoy the hotel or "settle down." With that said, the super high value everybody attributes to these 85K certificates do not apply to me. I'm not going to stay there for 1 night and switch to a cheaper hotel for the rest of the trip. I'm also not going to use the certificate for some super expesnive hotel and then pay cash for the rest of the nights... However with all that said, I still get at least $350-$500 or more for the certifcate so it's still good...
Thanks for the tips! You make a good point for holding both RC and Amex Brilliant, thats the route my friend is going. I'll probably re-evaluate after a year and see how I feel.

Both CAN be profitable above their annual fees just by getting good enough use/value out of their respective credits and benefits.
But the big one to me that makes "RC can be profitable but takes a fair bit of work and not in any way that's indispensable" while CSR is "must have it no brainer" is the fact that to get max value out of Chase UR points you must hold a paid chase card- and the CSR is a no brainer at that point.
If you don't use UR then not so much.
