I got this about a year ago for the same price. My wife uses it after her workout/shower while she's putting on make up. She loves it. I also take it to kids practice/games when it's hot out.

Good catch! You can still plug it into an extension cord if you don't want to use battery power.

Bought it. Probably good for tent camping and definitely could have used it during my 24 hr. power outage in 108 heat last week.

Love this thing. Well engineered. Mounts on the wall or 2x4. We use it camping all the time. Battery lasts almost 2 nights.

"Unlike Milwaukee"? I have the Milwaukee fan and one of the Makitas. They both come with their own AC adapter in the box... So yes they don't have an "outlet thingy" buy they do have an "AC adapter thingy", which is arguably even more useful. You can plug an AC adapter in to any outlet (wall outlet, end of an extension cord, a generator). This Ridgid fan looks cool, but looks like it will only accept the end of an extension cord unless I'm interpreting something incorrectly.

Plus, it just occurred to me. You can't have the battery in it if you have it plugged in. Mild annoyance I guess. The Milwaukee and Makitas can keep and battery and be plugged in simultaneously (allowing you to just unplug and walk away with a battery in it). Minor detail, but caught my eye. Interesting the HD product page doesn't have any photos showing it plugged in for some reason. Unique design though. Male outlet "end" built in to the fan. Certainly better than battery only (and probably cheaper to not include an AC adapter).

LOL nice!! I have to agree... USB-C is capable of well over 100W... Hell I have a 140W USB-C AC adapter here. Zero reason why the Milwaukee and Makita fans couldn't use USB-C. The fans, many of the lights... many of the lower powered tools. At least the Milwaukee "Top Off" inverter has a USB-C output. And the better Ryobi inverter as well! I believe you can even charge a battery with it via USB-C... Hopefully some day they'll all come around lol. Who knows.
