I feel the now expired predator helios 18 was a much better deal with more ram and a miniLED screen for only 100 more
That's what she said
For the love of God, would it kill them to put in a 1080p camera? These 720p cameras provide crappy images. A high-end laptop with a really low-end camera.

Thanks for the find. This is usually the open box price. Brand new is obviously better.
18 is huge but if you actually want to use the monitor for gaming it makes sense.
The 16gb of ram doesn't make much sense to me. In many ways buying a 4080 is future proofing, but 16gb ram is not.
It can be upgraded, but I'm not one to spend that much just to have to work on it.

FYI, screen width wise it's the same as a 17". These 18" are good for ppl that want more vertical space. Eg. programmers. Although maybe some games can show more vertically now.

18" laptop and they couldnt add a 100 watt battery?
Well 100 watt is the legal limit to carry on planes is 100 watts.
There is a natural variance in the actual capacity of batteries.

By using 90 watts, there is no risk of an 'imperfect' battery being over the legal limit.

Also the system is so huge....It's probably closer to portable desktop.
There were times in the past I focused on such systems when I lived out of a suitcase in a high travel job. I had my "portable" work laptop and then a system such as this for use on my time in the evenings.

It's ram, it's like the easiest upgrade known to man.
