I heard the ROG laptops run pretty hot, and 18" laptop isn't going to the most portable size........but regardless, this is a 18" laptop with a 4080 and 13980hx. ROG consistently has higher performance ratings when it comes to gaming laptops. I'd say this is a good deal if your looking for a 18" gaming laptop.

How loud is this laptop in demanding games? It doesn't seem like they make quiet gaming laptops anymore. (except maybe the Eluctronics water cooled model)

Yeah I looked at least year's BFriday deals, and they were about this same amount off, $4-500 off, so this isn't too bad for now.

Asus QC is not as good as before, there were 2 incidents in the past year. Just go with Lenovo or MSI.
