Hate to break it to ya, but the theater experience ISNT GOING ANYWHERE. Cool people and intelligent people will still go out to see movies in theaters because it's an experience that cannot be replaced or replicated or made better elsewhere, even when Apple Vision Pro launches.
There is nothing that replaces the social aspect, the trip out of the house, the smells of food, the energy, the concessions, the physical presence.

Always felt dirty spending $30 a ticket. Perfect time to experience it. Gran Turismo is probably a mediocre film, but HAS to be a great introduction to the 4DX technology.
How can you mess up moving/rumbling seats with a car racing film? $4 a ticket seems like stealing.

The "energy"? From what? The anger at purchasing expensive sub-par popcorn and candy that costs 3x as much in the store? Maybe youre talking about the energy generated by being forced to purchase tickets online and then pay an absurd "convenience fee" for the pleasure of purchasing those tickets online? And lets not talk about ticket prices themselves, maybe thats the energy youre referring to?
Maybe the experience that youre talking about exists in Manhatten, but nowhere else.
There's a reason why a movie like M:I has to "save" the summer and thats because absent blockbuster movie, no one wants to go through the hassle of online ticket purchasing, bad popcorn, uncomfortable seats, not-well-maintained theaters, to see over-promoted bad films that serve only the vanity of self-congratulating directors, producers, and actors.
