What the Costco online support wrote in regards to backorders on the Apple TV 4k. For reference my original eta was August 25th.

Now that I bought this, I wouldn't be surprised if Apple puts up a minor upgrade in the next few months changing the remote port to USB-C, and maybe upgrading the processor slightly, and what would be best is to add "Find My" support to the remote since it is easy to get lost. If all those things happen then I may consider returning this to Costco with their 90 day return policy, but if not this is a great deal.

A note for anyone price-matching at Target--I just got pushback on the price match per the rep claiming it was a membership only price. I refuted that, claiming that there was nothing on the Costco item page claiming it was a member's only price. They further checked with their supervisory team, and eventually approved it.
