I got this projector a year ago. It's very sharp, Colors are fine, but not super accurate like a high end TV (which would cost more than this for a measly 65"). Black levels are really not great, especially with the cheap amazon screen I bought, but putting black cloth behind it really helped a lot. Brightness is quite good. In a dark room it could get painfully bright at 100", 130" is quite nice. Supposedly a firmware update enabled 3D since the Projector Central review came out, but I don't have the glasses to try it. One thing to keep in mind is OEM lamp replacement from Viewsonic is $230, nearly half the cost of the projector.

Seems a great deal. 500 with two year warranty from viewsonic (like new in Amazon) for a 4k. Why no love for this?

Good pricing. No 3D capability is a shame.

Out of curiosity how does 240hz refresh work without HDMI 2.1? (Both inputs are 2.0)

Edit: NVM it's 240hz in 1080p when enabled from a PC, it will also do 120hz, but NOT at 4k. In 4k it only supports up to 60hz

Amazon doesn't show 2 year warranty, eBay does. Also can't see px748 for 710 at amazon

If this projector is anything like the PX727 that I got a few years back, then the price is a no brainer.
I paid $1300 for the 727 when it came out, for my 135" screen. Games and movies were better in 1080p, than my other $600-700 projectors in that range.
The only real upgrade for me would be to spend $2k on an entry level laser projector. But I need to find a job first to afford it.

That's all you need for aventure and rpgs. If for FPS shooters 120hz min needed, and you probably need to keep your mouse on your desk anyways, and use some controller.

Is 3d still a thing? I'm not saying that sarcastically, honest question. I thought the trend died out and in turn, the releases of 3d content.
