Bottom line: this is an ad, not a deal.
Slightly cleaned the white balance and skew of them a tad here: https://imgur.com/a/FlwVAcZ

People shop at Costco and pay a small premium to avoid the Walmart experience. Sometimes it's worth it.

4% back net (or 5% on some stuff) really adds up too. I saved over $1000 on a cruise I took in April just because I bought it through Costco.

This is all regional (tire stores), but around here Town Fair is the regional place and their road hazard warranty is less than Costco. In fact, I've priced out the exact same tires at both stores, and if you make the 2 offers as close to being the same as possible, Costco comes out ahead and that doesn't even take into account the 4% I get for being an Executive and CC holder. The chain store doesn't have as good a road hazard, but lets you upgrade it (although still not as long as Costco's), and Costco doesn't offer alignment at all whereas the chain includes front wheel "for free". So, I get tires and install at Costco then get an alignment at the same chain store (ironically getting a 4 wheel alignment off the street is only marginally more expensive than what they charge to upgrade to 4 wheel).
As for waits - the tire chain tends to have longer waits IMHO. I just scheduled a rotation at Costco last night and was surprised to see they had a plethora of appts as soon as today, going into the weekend. I find they keep their appt. schedule better than the chain place, plus I just do my normal shopping while the vehicle is being serviced. At the chain place I'd have to find a way to busy myself.
If you have a time machine, you can hop onto it and go a few days into the future.
Or, like the rest of us, wait until the end of the month for the sale prices to kick in.

Wonder if costco does price adjustments if I bought the same item at higher price 2 weeks ago. Any idea about that?
