I just don't understand why regular monthly sale ads are posted here. They literally spam these out to all of their members every month. And it's never anything to go crazy about, maybe with the exception of the holiday sales. Why does Costco always get special treatment? Why not post Target's sale ad? Why not Walmart, Meijer, local grocery stores, Ace Hardware, the list goes on...

Bottom line: this is an ad, not a deal.

You can go back, buy the product at sale price, then on your way out return it with your older receipt. That's what I do, makes it easier than trying to price match.
That's a nice way of doing it. Thanks

Oops. No need to be so smug. I've never used costco coupons and missed the dates on this post. Thanks for pointing it out still.
Wonder if costco does price adjustments if I bought the same item at higher price 2 weeks ago. Any idea about that?
Was trying to be funny while answering your question. Sorry if I offended you.

No harm done. No offence taken. Thanks for clarifying.

For most items, the price adjustment period is 60 days from original date of purchase. Bring the receipt to CS. No need to bring the original item with you, or do a new buy and return (unless it's been more than 60 days).

If you bought the item on their website, it's a very intuitive and easy process through said website. No need to visit the warehouse.

And to answer part of your original question, you don't need to clip any coupons. They auto-apply to your purchase.

The Gourmia Foodstation for $80 is a good deal. It's been $100 since Costco started carrying it and that's the Amazon price for a very similar model. I'm wondering if I should just wait 2 months to see if it goes lower in Nov or Dec.

I disagree for a couple of reasons.

Costco's regular prices are usually better than average retail prices. So when they do an promo ad, it's better than that. Yes, there are some that just keep coming back on promo (Tide, etc.) every 6-8 weeks. I don't need a thread on those items, but the infrequent promo items are generally good opportunity deals. It's true that we get the ad mailed anyway. Sometimes I get one missed though. The reminder is still good.

The other reason why we like a separate thread on these Costco promo ads is that members visit frequently. They help us to not miss any good opportunities. We can plan ahead. Sometimes I've missed deals but not seeing them while shopping. These separate threads sometimes cause me to return for another trip. Comments from other SDers help to reinforce the deal value too, or to give alternative stores or products.

But you don't see your local grocery store's ads on here. They don't have a huge markup. Often those are mailed out also. So why not plan and budget for those trips too? Why are those not posted here? Why is Costco getting all this praise for being good when in every praise comment they are also admitting their advertising department is extremely subpar (missed ads, late ads, not posted online...the list goes on)? Wanna see ads? Go to an ad site. Wanna see deals on individual markdowns? This is the place. The two do not blur together just because a few people "like" for it to. Sale ads are only good once a year - BF/CM. Everything else is just smoke and mirrors, far from anything "slick."

This sale does not look tempting.

Guess I'm stocking up on those swiffer duster packs.
Waste of money
The dollar tree ones are just as good
The best thing on there is the $3.00 off Korean BBQ pork jerky
This stuff is addicting as heroin coated crack (and just as bad for your health)
If you never tried it now is the time

I refuse to buy any more Feit products. They always fail early. I wish Costco would find a more reliable brand.
Really? I have nothing but good luck so far , I have had Sylvania and GE stuff fail on me a few times though
I have some recessed lighting inserts I got at HD for 20 for 6 and they are working great, also some halogen replacements the kind that go in work lights , mine are in sensor flood light that triggers all the time and so far so good

Sales from stores are not sales anymore, they are simply what retail likes to call loss leaders to get you into the store to buy everything that's even further overpriced.

I bought these Feit string lights a few months ago online for $49.99. Can I buy them at this sale price and then return them with the online receipt? Or will they only refund me the lesser amount? Anyone know?

Human nature sure is something. We buy much more when many Costco items go on a periodic promo, and we feel so good about it. Everyone likely stocks too much Swiffers, Tide, Cereal, etc. Some do the opposite, just knowing that it'll be on promo again in 2-3 weeks, so why bother stocking up.

No doubt the marketing folks know that they'll sell 2,000 at a warehouse at $12, but they'll sell 10,000 each month if they alternate between $15 and $11.

I suspect it's those rotating promos that give Costco an edge over Walmart, etc.

Then there are those seasonal promos. Costco knows when to blast out certain seasonal products pre-season and post-season.

So…don't read em? I find them super helpful.
The concern I have is that when there is a better-than-norma deal then I will miss it because I do not look. It might seem obvious to those that want to look that what the post (like this) is about is only about showing what we will see in a couple of days or so but it would help to make it more clear.
