What would you suggest over Fanatec? I've been using a thrustmaster T300RS for the past four years but always looked at Fanatec as really high quality stuff. But I never used them so I wouldn't know.

I'd suggest looking into the VRS base and then using a different wheel. The VRS wheel is overpriced but the base is great bang for the buck.

Hmmm, I've owned my Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base (8 Nm) + ClubSport Steering Wheel Formula V2.5 with QR1 Quick Release Adapter + ClubSport Pedals V3 with Brake Performance Kit for 16 months now. Only issue so far was one of the dial knobs on the steering wheel split in half and they quickly sent me a replacement.

What did you have issues with?

Moza seems to have a nicer control software, and Microcenter sells it. Fanatec I think you still have to get that from the manufacturer.

If money is not an object then the Logitech Pro 11Nm and Pro pedals. This will set you back about $1350 before tax. Fanatec sells the bundle of Gran Turismo Pro DD 8Nm for $799.
Otherwise for cheap it will be Thrustmaster T248 for $300 or Logitech G29 or G923 for $299/329.
The Logitech Pro and Fanatec are direct drive systems as the others, although cheaper; will be belt/gear driven. Lots of research should be used before deciding on a wheel/pedal set. Do you want a different type of wheel in the future? Do you maybe want load cell pedals for more realistic effect and braking? As long as you answer the questions and know what you want/need before purchasing then you will be less inclined to have to upgrade anytime soon.
My only big note is the Fanatec is the only one out of this list that can use different wheels. Logitech Pro can, but they have not released any rims as of yet so you are stuck with the default wheel. If you plan on spending lots of money do a lot of research so you know exactly what you want beforehand. Also with powerful wheels like the Logitech Pro and Fanatec, you may need an actual cockpit to mount the base and pedals to.

Wondering if you had any suggestions- I'm wanting a direct drive with a load cell brake pedal that would be compatible for Xbox series x. So far it seems the best I can find is a fanatec CSL DD with LC pedals for $600. Any other options I should look at? I want a system that is relatively quiet.

This would be about your best choice. Moza does have a new R3 bundle for Xbox coming out but it doesn't have load cell pedals and at $400, I would push toward the Fanatec offering myself. I personally use Moza myself for the PC and its great, but for Xbox or PS5 direct drive I would give the nod to Fanatec.

For those that want console compatibility and swappable wheels, then it's the fanatic gt pro. Although I doubt people who want swappable wheels will be satisfied with staying on console. Those that do not want upgradability or swappable wheels should go to the Logitech pro. There are a lot more capable games that can provide better force feedback on PC that lean more into simulation than most arcade like games on console. One could argue that GT7 is close in between, calling it simcade. But the likes of assetto corsa, competizione, Automobilista 2 and iracing offer a way better selection and experience that is hard to beat.

Asetek tony kannan bundaroo is 800 at microcenter.
Too bad they dont ship and doesnt have standard qr to use any wheel afaik.
The base is 500. Better specs than alpha mini (540$ free ship low stock 18 bit 13nm peak 10 hold vs 22 bit for this one 12nm) and same as la prima.
This is the best bundaroo today if you dont mind the ugly wheel n no clutch for f1 or prototype i guess?
