So these aren't actually made by Pelican... They're made by Casemate in China and licensed by Pelican. So I wouldn't expect the same Pelican quality we expect from Pelican direct.

Seriously though, it'll keep out all the *other* stuff that's in water which can do not-nice things to electronics. i.e. salt water, silt, sand, dirt, etc. I've taken one of my Samsung in the ocean and got some amazing video of turtles swimming around but i also needed to rinse if off with clean water right after and let it dry for ages before the charge port stopped yelling at me.

Got the Amazon deal and getting this one to replace a lesser quality one. Going snorkeling in the Bahamas and this says it's perfect for it... has anyone actually taken these underwater to take pictures?

I got this when it was a deal last Feb here, for I think $9, nice case and works great for protecting against water. The only thing I don't like is that the padding that allows it to float makes it tough to activate side buttons, but not a big deal considering the water/sand protection you get.

The quality of the case seems really good, I would buy again if I needed another. I currently use it with my Pixel 7. Can fit the phone when I have my everyday hard-shell case on it, though I find it easier to take the Pixel out of my hard-shell case before using this waterproof case.

This was the one I got on Amazon to compare, looks like the same case on Woot
