I can't find a review by rtings on this Q6 model, they may not have reviewed it yet. Here is the link I found https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...q650g-qled
Q7 was reviewed but costs more and maybe worth it for some.

The Q8 is really the successor to the 6 series.

i actually adore it for the price. looks really great.
of course if these are brand new, they'll likely decrease in price over time. at which point getting qled and ~500 nits brightness for under 699 for the 75 would be a good deal really. but i'd spend a little more for local dimming.
thing is the q7 looks more like the u7h equivalent. so theres no direct u6h equivalent from last year, as this looks inferior. guess they streamlined their portfolio. however the q7 at 998 now, if that gets some nice discounts later will be good value. a lot just depends on future sale pricing here imo.

How is 65U6K vs 65U6H? The first one is $60 extra but seems newer.
Those have local dimming right? Sorry haven't been in the TV market in years

I figured that the higher model number would be of better quality. Makes no sense if the TCL Q7 is indeed worser compared to the Q6 model!
Worser isn't a word. If you want to really stress how much worse something is, you can say, "even worse." Technically, "worse" is already its own comparative adjective.
If it matters, he has a pretty narrow living room, watches mostly sports and movies, and is liable to watch day or night (so occasional sun glare).

I am going to get Sunday Ticket either way but not sure whether it's worth splurging a little more for the Q7 to get the $200 off instead 🤔
But 5 series is discontinued

The TCL s555 is getting harder and harder to find though. Its the last of TCL's Roku models.
Having said that- my TV could be a little 'smarter'.

Man and I would have recommended a s555 Roku set to people like my elderly parents who need simple. Shame.
