Coming from Ender 3, is this worth the upgrade?

No. The only printers that are currently worth upgrading to are Bambu Lab's X1C, P1S or P1P. Everything else might as well be a sidegrade.

Cant see how you would ignore crealities own offering of the K1 and K1 max.
The Bambu printers are nice, and are going to have a big impact on the market, but they are far from the only choice.

Bambu Lab printers already had a huge impact on the market. You know K1 line sucks when even sponsored reviewers have issues with recommend that POS. It was funny seeing them trying to compare those printers to everything else but the Bambu Lab printers.

M5C is excellent TBH hard to beat at that price, even the X1C or P1S are significantly more expensive for not a whole lot more benefit. They have the CoreXY system and an enclosure but aside from that not a whole lot more.

The K1 and K1 Max aren't nearly the same experience and their app has been terrible. Creality is a hard brand to trust to improve, too, even though they're responsible for much of the market segment.

I bought this to upgrade from an Artillery Genius Pro. The speed difference is drastic. I primarily print board game accessories/inserts which I was able to print 2-4x faster (depending on the specific print) with comparable quality. Overall, happy with it so far especially at the price. I had a couple early print failures but they seem to have been slicer setting issues (ie first layer adhesion problems). The app works well, and I like being able to print directly from my PC wirelessly. Only thing I'm not a big fan of is the filament loading is a bit of a pain. Was tempted by the Bambu printers but they're a bit overkill for my main use case.

For those thinking about 3D printing, a lot of libraries now have them and you can use them for a small fee.

Bought this on last deal. Pretty easy to use (newbie to 3D Printing). Only issue I've had is printing TPU that I need to troubleshoot. PLA+, PETG, etc. no issues with anything and it's pretty fast.

M5 has screen, camera, double the price. M5C you need to use the phone or desktop app to control.

No one should really consider the M5 when the Bambu stuff is available at that price. But M5C is signficantly cheaper.
