ABS, Cyberpower, iBuypower, Skytech also has proprietary motherboards or bios, non retail versions, most do, because they don't want you to overlook and break anything they would have to cover under warranty. Best way to avoid that is config one from the websites, but they are usually more, the ready to ship usually have that issue. Even Microcenter is starting to do this with their brand.
If you order a Lenovo it's literally a Lenovo motherboard with Lenovo BIOS and is often missing settings like XMP. If you order from one of those others companies you mentioned you can get an actual name brand motherboard with the normal BIOS and settings. In this scenario the Lenovo is obviously the worst choice.

The ABS prebuilt I purchased came with this exact motherboard: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-B760-P-WIFI

The $3000 Lenovo I returned for a full refund came with a proprietary board that didn't support the 5600mhz ram the system shipped with and couldn't support XMP. This wasn't an isolated incident. Also the GPU was recognized by the system as Lenovo branded so they literally flashed to it.

I know what I am talking about from experience and am simply warning others as it benefits the prebuilt market and consumers as a whole for these things to not go unnoticed.

How much did the ABS cost? Do you have a link?

This particular configuration was the only system to accept all the above codes. Some configs don't accept the id.me discount.

Click the id.me link on cart page and follow instructions to verify status. After verification, discount automatically applies to applicable items in cart.

Hi, how could you get Medical Savings -$210.56. It looks like 10% off. The lenovo website shows 5% for id.me only. I am Medical Physicist, could I qualify?

At $1795, this is best deal I've seen on a new 4080 prebuilt. Thanks. Just ordered.

Awesome deal when you stack promos! Note that the coupon code from the original post (INTELGAMERDAYS23) does not stack with the id.me discount. However code BENGEXTRA6 does stack with it.
The order of discounting that worked for me:
  1. ID.me student discount
  2. Code: BENGEXTRA6
  3. $100 off first purchase code (prompt appears when first loading the site)

This brought the total to $1795.04

AMEX also has a current offer, $100 off any purchase over $500 at Lenovo.

Final price: $1695.04 bounce
