The last one I played was WWE 2k19 but I think all these games gives you the ability to download characters created by the community (other online users). So even if they weren't officially created by the developers of the game, you can still get all these characters.
These people do an amazing job too. I downloaded all the popular wrestlers from the 80's thru the 2000's.
People even create Ninja Turtles, Marvel Superheroes, political figures, etc. And other videogame characters you can use too lol.
Great point. My son plays Madden and the community creates all the old football players. Wrestling would even be funner with all the gimmicks
Yeah but Cena has a singular MO - to make the WWE as successful as possible. They even own his name and get a cut of every single thing he does. He says he doesn't mind giving a cut to the people who made him who he is, but then again, he doesn't even own his name anymore...
It's... actually kinda sad. The China stuff just plays into his MO.
The AEW fight forever game was created by YUKES who made the n64 games. I want to try but looks bare bones compared to this. Im waiting on a DLC full release. At 35 this ones tempting .
Do any of these 2K wrestling games allow you to play with classic characters from the attitude era? No interest in today's WWE but if I could play with Stone Cold, Mankind, Undertaker, DX etc I would bite
I think this one does have some of those guys in there
But if not the creation suite is there and you can download them from creators and some people spend a good amount of time making those characters and honestly you prbably couldnt tell the dfference even in move sets.
Is this play style anything like WCW from N64 days? Not a joke, really been awhile
It does have some similarities, but it is fundamentally quite different. Nothing really plays exactly like those N64 games. Including the new AEW game.
There is one in the works called Ultra Pro Wrestling, but that's not due out until 2024.

I bought 2k22 hoping it was close enough. It wasn't. I played it for like 3 hours the very first time and don't have any desire to play it again. They don't change much between each year so it's a no for me.
Anyone recommend this game? Is it better to buy last years?
It's really good but not at $35. Just wait few more months this would be $24.99 or even $19.99 Last years game was a really good step and this one is better

AEW has been all talk and the lack of content is shocking I know it's the furst game a foundation to built from but after all the talk to lakc that much content isn't good

I just loaded up an old WWE 2K17 Xbox One disc and and I don't think I can download characters because the servers for this game have been shut down
