I've had the Arris and this Motorola is hands down the better modem. No resets needed and runs cooler. It has been flawless for a long long time. Also same price through Motorola

I actually decided I wanted this one or the S33 last year, whichever went on sale first. The S33 did and I had it for a month or two before it stopped working. Apparently it's REALLY sensitive to surges and stuff like that so if you live in a place prone to lightning and storms I would highly recommend against it.
I was able to get a store credit and waited for this one to go on sale. My last one was a Motorola and has lasted me over a decade so like the idea of replacing it with a Motorola.

This is true :/ coupon code is good for another day (on motorola website). Cancelled my amazon order.
Other way around. Arris owns Motorola. But I think it's just for set top boxes.
