if you're the kind of guy who likes to spend your weekends rescuing hostages and stabbing bad guys, this might be the knife for you

Good luck in some states. My homie got picked up by the Michigan State Police for having a blade like this in the glove box while we were in the UP. Got stopped for speeding, MSP smelled marijuana (we don't smoke) and did a search.

Under Michigan law, the following knives cannot be conceal carried:
Double-edged, non-folding (fixed-blade) stabbing instrument of any length

Can you fight off a mountain lion with this? I want something to carry on a solo hike/backpacking that I never ever plan to use. Already carry a bear spray.
The first reviews with pictures show you can bend the blade with just a light thumb pressure.
Something tells me you've never hiked a day in your life lmao

There's a lot of sharp comments here,
and not to be dull, but let's get to the point...is this tacticool?
of course it's tacticool. You can walk around with your 5.11 tactical fanny pack covered in molle, put this on your hip and a surefire LED flashlight on the other.
All the rival dads at Home Goods will shudder in your presence.

I am duct taping a flashlight on this. Thanks for the inspiration.

Did you read the reviews? Look at the picture of the guy pressing his thumb against the blade and it bending. That is NOT sturdy! Also other negative reviews showing the blade broken. Not only that, but the handle is small and a man's hands don't even grasp it well because the bottom of your hand where the pinky finger is, struggles to get a hold of the bottom of the handle.

This is 100% a pass! $10 gets you a $10 knife, it's worth about this price and that is it. don't expect it to hold up to any kind of stress.
What I don't understand is why those Amazon reviews (another one shows it broke at the hilt) still gives 4-5 stars.

Amazon went out of stock pretty quickly after this got posted. And now the deal is marked as inactive, but it looks like Amazon got restocked and I was able to buy a couple at 11:45 just now. Can this be updated to active again?

yes, click on the Mod Alert button on the bottom right and tell them that it's active again. I've had good luck with them changing it back to live

I don't see a Mod Alert button. Maybe I don't have enough rep to do that action? If you or someone else reading this can alert the mod, it is still available on Amazon for $11.45. It keeps fluctuating between in stock and out of stock, but the deal is still active and at the moment I'm writing this it is in stock.

i tried it yesterday. maybe the mod tried it while it was out of stock again. I'll try it again now.

i ordered two of these and they are pretty nice. i haven't put them to any stress test as i'll be giving them as gifts, but they seem sturdy, sharp, and the sheath seems good quality.

the local airport trashes everything. I couldn't go back to lost and found. Oh well
When I accidently left a leatherman in my backpack and TSA caught it, they told me I could leave and ship it. I didn't have time so I told them to enjoy it I guess and they said 'oh no, we destroy everything.' Sure you do. That was several years ago but I was curious so I just googled it and the TSA website says:

Quote :
TSA makes every effort to reunite passengers with items left behind at the airport checkpoint. Lost and found items retained by TSA for a minimum of thirty (30) days...
So apparently if you want to see your knife again, you have to 'lose' it instead of having it confiscated. Maybe put your backpack down and accidently drop it under the conveyor belt or something laugh out loud.

The whole thing is asinine. It was the TSA which recommended banning the knives in the first place and then when they realized the threat was non-existent, they recommended removing the ban only for people to lose their ever loving minds and demand they remain banned from flights. We shouldn't even be in this predicament.
