It looks like they cut prices on the Model X and Model X Plaid. The base Model X now sells for $79,990 while the Plaid now sells for $89,990. All color options are included too. It also seems as if it might now qualify for a tax credit.

Edit: Model S prices were slashed too.

Model S base model $74,990

Im getting quoted 43k for my 22 myp with 3k miles. Ya im keeping the Y at this point. It is a fun car
It is quite good price considering the current Y price. So if you buy a X now, you need another $37k. Depending on whether you qualify federal rebate, if could mean only $30k additional payment.

This will put your X purchase price equivalent to $100k in 2022. Just ask yourself whether you were willing to spent $100k for X in 2022 without regretting it now. If yes, just spend the money

The Model 3 and Y are so good that it's pretty wacky to entertain getting an S or X

..and a supercharger whine. I bet half the people wanting a Hellcat want it just for the whine alone. They dont care about the Fisher Price interior, getting 9 mpg on premium, etc. The whine alone is worth it to them.
And the irony is that 1-dimensional hellcat is about as fast as, or slower than, as a BASE model Tesla Model S or X yet comparably priced.

Tesla's 4-door, family sedan in the slowest trim possible, that people trash in this very thread, runs faster than Dodge's one-trick dedicated performance coupe. Dodge engineering at its finest.

21 MYP with 25K miles is $34000 trade in.

56,000 for X Plaid or S Plaid cash payment to trade it in. (already paid off the MYP)

Tempted but then I realized I don't need a bigger car. I think I can just wait for the redesigned MYP. 3.5s is enough for now and I can wait another 6 for 2.x and I still have cybertruck reservations so it may be cheaper than expected now also.

Went to test drive Tesla S yesterday and I'm surprised how small it was and all the plastic… the seats are also not a genuine leather. Went back and ordered Lucid Touring. Finally moved to EV. Regardless of what anyone chooses, this is the right direction.
What model Lucid did you buy? How much did it cost you?

This is the dodge fan base in a nutshell and it will be their undoing

  • World's fastest accelerating card is pure EV Rimac
  • World's super cars have all but gone in with some electrocution. Last Lambo Hurricane is out, it's the last before Electrified.
  • Corvette is out with hybrid for best performance
  • Ferrari has electrified version now too
I think Bugatti is the only one that has full ICE cars but they have Rimac now.

the same people who bitched about Tesla are the same who bitched about iPhone and now all using smartphones because iPhone changed the world and Tesla is doing that right now. lol

Thats what I do. Too lazy to disengage autopilot and move over. Blame Elon for not giving us free lane changes with the basic autopilot.
I also drive in the left lane. I try my best to avoid as many idiots on the road as possible. Everyone zig zagging through traffic to get to the front of the crowd. Then they slow down once they get to the front, until someone is coming up on them. Then it's off to the races between idiots again. I just get into the left lane and try to avoid all that crap.

You're paying almost double any other car. You could actually buy 2 hybrids for the same price. Long term, maintenance cost is exactly the same, you're just paying it to Tesla upfront instead of over the life of ownership. Plus, batteries die, gas is always available. As I said, price/performance/value is better with hybrid.
What two hybrids are you referring to, that are around $25K ?

DO NOT get the tesla 22" wheels. Trust me. You don't want to pay $5500 difference and have to pay $500 at least twice a year for popped tires. Get the 19" and if you really want 22", sell the 19 and get aftermarket. It will cost you half the $5500 tesla charges.
My thoughts exactly. I have low profile tires on my other car (I think 30 aspect ratio) and popped one quickly with no big bump that I detected! When I bought my model Y, I quickly went with the 19" wheels. My other car has to have low profile but I would want the model X with 20". No doubt.

Just curious. What quotes are you getting for your Model Y performance? I have a 2023 MYP with 6k miles and got quoted $45k for trade in with my enhanced autopilot. Bought it in December 2022. Would've considered trading it in for the Model X if I hadn't lost so much equity. At this point, better option to just keep it since we enjoy the car anyway.
I don't have the enhanced autopilot or performance. but I'm thinking, I would still get the $7500 credit wouldn't I? I may be looking at the model X if I would be close to $42K ish. Do they quote you on the website for trade in's ?

Same, got a trade-in quote for a 2022 MYP with 21k miles for $38k, ordered in 12/21 and delivered 2/22. Lost a ton of equity due to the price decreases. Otherwise would consider trading in for the X as well primarily due to better suspension and the ability to add 1-2 seats as somebody else referred to to keep the X under the $80k tax credit.

Like you, enjoy the car a lot so will ride it out and hope for the best.

$1500 does not apply on Performance Y -- msrp over upper threshold. -- just to be exact
Please do your research before you question me. The car I was referring to MSRP is $53,600 which is under $55k and qualifies for the $1500 rebate in NJ. Please google it next time before you question my post.

The poster was a troll that lied about getting a $61k quote for his MY2022P because he had 3k miles. Don't tell me you put a big down payment and took the quote as saying you lost on another $9k out of pocket. Cause that makes no cents at all. No company will pay more for a car when they can buy a brand new one for a lot less. Doesn't make dollar and cents. LMAOLMAO

I will keep waiting for 2-3 more price drop before I pull trigger on buying an EV. Made In China Tesla built between than Fremont and Austin. Tesla has cut their prices multiple times and China and USA will follow

Model X also has a GVW of over 6000lbs so it would qualify under section 179 for business purposes. What I don't know is my income is over the $7500 rebate level but could I get the $7500 if my business purchased the car?
