About this item:
  • The additional toppings of shiitake mushroom slices, carrots, and scallions add some welcome bits of texture as you eat. The shiitake mushrooms in particular give nice meat-like textures.
  • If you're afraid of the heat you can use a little less of the soup powder packet. It will take the edge off a little but you'll still get to enjoy a warm, savory, rich spiced broth.

This is a great deal, even cheaper than $15.99 for an 18-pack at Costco Business Center. But I have to skip it because I am on a diet now.

I checked my order history on Costco. It was $12.99 in April but $15.99 in June. That's a 23% increase in two months. Inflation really hit hard.

Umm no. This is Korean ramyun. Basically, spicy instant ramen with more robust flavor. Japanese instant ramen tends to be not very good, just cheap filler food. (I've tried a lot of them in Japan.) Korean ramyun is still junk food but the Koreans put it on par with regular food. Shin is the gold standard for Korean ramyun. Not my favorite compared to Neoguri or Jin, but still damn good.

If you want authentic ramen, then go down to the nearest ramen bar in your town and don't be eating instant noodles.

This thing is spicy fyi but delicious. I like to add a bit of rice at the end once noodles are gone.

This is my favorite ramen to add leftover sausage, a variety of veggies, some chili oil, maybe some miso or gochujang. I can only eat about half a brick for my lunch... but I have it with the whole amount of spicy seasonings. I cook the other half pack of noodles, and feet them to my dogs.

I wish it was the original. Spicy flavor is not the best nongshim. I do love spicy food.

I save up chicken bones in the freezer and once I have a full gallon ziplock bag full, I make about half a gallon of bone broth with it, will often use that bone broth as the liquid base for these noodles, plus will add in a couple eggs at the end and cook till soft boiled.

There are lots of hacks for this on tik tok. I like to cook the noodles with some sides and pour the cooked content + packets into hot milk as the soup base.

Great deal. Even cheaper than Costco. Local Korean stores are usually over $22. Cook it with kimchi, super yummy.

Here in California almost every grocer around the corner has it for this price.

Make sure you add an egg and some green onions on top Big Grin

Some people like to break and stir the egg and some like it as a whole try both!

Heat up and add some instant rice (CJ brand - hetbahn) at the end for the soup yummm

It's very spicy, but you can decide how much of that packet you want to use. It can be adjusted.

In Vegas, most Chinese super markets sell them 13-15 per 12 bags.

If these are too hot for you use a tablespoon of mayonnaise to cook it down. Works great 👍
