Tesla slashed the price of the 2023 Model 3 to $37,000. After a $7,500 tax credit, Model 3 can be as low as $29,500. Some states may have additional EV tax credits and bring the price down even further. For example, Colorado residents may get an additional $5000 EV tax credit. Using a referral link from a current Tesla owner will give another $500 discount.

Why is Tesla slashing the price of current Model 3 cars? Tesla is coming out with a new Model 3 design called Highland. It will have many improvements such as 12% more range and perforated car seats. Telsa has not announced when the Highland will be available for delivery and how much it will cost. Rumor is that the price will start from $45,000. Is it worth, $8,000 more to get a Highland?

Tip: For the best price, check the inventory on Tesla's website. Change the Relevance to Price: Low to High. Price can vary based on your location.

Depends on one's budget. When Model 3 came out in 2018, The price was $50K. Many improvements have been made to the 2023 Model 3 and now the price is below $30k after the EV tax credit.

Highland is very nice but will probably need to pay about $8K more. Regardless, both cars are still better than any other cars on the market.

Add state rebates to this and you can get a hell of a car for significantly under $30000. Bummer my car got totaled a year ago and I ended up paying nearly double this for mine. Maybe I should just total this one and buy a new one.

Don't think the new Tesla m3 is worth it especially with these discounts on the current models.

What is the starting price of the upcoming M3? I didn't see it mentioned.

The current Model 3 is still the best car for the money. Just because Highland is coming out doesn't mean it's not worth considering if can save some money. I am seriously thinking about buying the current Model 3 once Highland price is confirmed in USA.

Highland Model 3 price has not been announced for USA market. But the current rumor is that it will be around $45k before federal EV tax credit.

Colorado residents can buy the current Model 3 for $24,500 after the federal and state local incentives. It's a bargain!

Probably $15k more than this fire sale price for the current gen. Musk charges based on demand. I would save $15k and just buy the current gen.

I don't think there is much difference on the test drive. But I do like the fact that it's going to have perforated seats and new suspension. But if the price difference is about $8K or higher, I will buy the current gen to save some money. For $29,500 (after federal EV credit), it's a great buy. It's better than buying $30K Toyota Camry and pay more for maintenance and fuel costs. Also, Tesla Model 3 will be more fun to drive.

Starting next year with no tax credit? plus the price increase? $15k difference.

Tax credit continues next year. Depending on the battery. The tax credit may be $3750 or $7500. Also, tax credit will at POS.

The price of Highland will depend on the demand. Tesla will raise the price of the initial order exceeds 3 months supply. They did that with Model Y when the demand skyrocked.
