Mentioned this in the Worx 4V thread which is selling for the same amount as this Skilz driver @ Sam's Club (link) but thought I should mentioned it here as well:

When comparing specs the Skil 4V driver is inferior to the Worx 4V driver in the following ways:

Slower speed (220RPM vs. 250RPM)
Lower max torque (4Nm vs. 5Nm)
No torque settings (Worx has 3: 2.5Nm, 4Nm and 5Nm)
Uses a microUSB port (vs. USB-C)
No battery capacity indicator (vs. three light LED indicator)

The benefit of the Skil driver is that it can be twisted in either pistol or in-line grip mode which is pretty cool and it comes with a 5 year warranty (vs. 3 year for Worx).

This is also non-pivot version.

I have the non-pivot and after 12 months (light use), the battery has expanded on me and essentially rendered the unit useless. I will go through warranty claim process.

It's a great tool while it worked.

The non-twist version with more bits and case is also $25 on ebay

Is the non-twist version better or easier to use?

Can this be used as a manual screwdriver?
The set from Sam's has a small hand held manual head - which can take various bits

If you're a homeowner spend more for one with adjustable torque and replacement batteries 🪫 I have a dewalt 8V MAX Cordless Gyroscopic screwdriver 🪛 the Milwaukee m12 is cool too but heavier
The dewalt you have is 4x cost and bigger/heavier? Every home owner probably has a tool with those 2 features, just not as small. I don't know, but hopefully this is noticeably smaller/lighter than the 12v stuff. I went with the worx at Sam's (which I am hoping is even smaller than this, albeit non-pivot).

Sorry to ask a dumb question... but what is the difference between a non pivoting and pivoting screwdriver ?? Confused

As I will have lost the little bit holder within 24 hours of opening the packaging for the first time, I've had the non-pivot version, with case, on my Amazon watch list for some time, waiting for a sale. The Ebay link is tempting.

I don't seem to be able to find the pivot version in a case. However, it looks like 3rd party cases are available for $15 or so if you're leaning toward the pivot.

Pistol grip or straight grip; it rotates.

The gyroscopic feature of the dewalt puts it on another level vs this skil. It's pretty amazing.

You don't want non twist versions, the handle sometimes gets in the way.

Anyways one of these and cheap manual screwdrivers are more useful in the real world than the overpriced novelty ltt like screw drivers going around.

wow, just got mine, good price and handy. I have 12V Makita driver drills but they are overkill and for different application. Nice features except the mini USB charge port. Going to screw around more now.

This isn't intended to be a bigger drill. This is a junk drawer item in place of regular screwdrivers.

I don't know much about the dewalt 8v system, but that is 6x the price from what I see and the Milwaukee m12 is a work horse.

If your a homeowner, you can own both this and a 12v - 20v system and have a use/need for both.

If I need to tighten a handle on a cabinet I'm grabbing this out of my kitchen junk drawer and not going out to the tool shed, basement, car, garage, etc. to grab my full size drill.

May fit aliexpress magnetic charge adapters, would test fit but they are taking forever to ship mine.
