Great great amp. I love how you can dial the power down, yet the tone remains similar. Best practice tube amp IMHO (I have a slight preference for the G5 variant, which is based off a different amp).

Is it pretty good for distortion? I read the specs and everything, hearng it is different.
I would think its solid for booming clear stuff, was unsure about heavy

Great for hard rock and blues. Probably fine for punk-pop levels of distortion. Not dirty enough for modern metal… but add a distortion pedal and it will combine nicely with the tube overdrive from this amp.
Would this go well (or even work with) the monoprice speaker cab with the Celestion speaker that is supposedly very well done and customer approved for value and performance?
Full disclosure, I am the most beginner of beginner guitar players, although ironically I have managed to score a plethora of ever-lower dropping priced deals on various basic electric guitars, as well as picking up this aforementioned speaker cabinet; which was hurriedly snapped up in true SD'er fashion whereby deal price parameters dictate a vacating of most/if not all reason & impulse control as purchases are banged through without delay to ensure minimal sadness from tragic deal fomo & it's partner "ended-promo" that must be endured if hesitation or purchase delay is engaged for any reason causing deal to go buh-bye as the unlucky suffer on and cry cry!
The TLDR being simply this, would this complete the missing component need I was unaware of originally when picking up electric guitar equipment including the (unamplified/non-reciever equipped speaker cabinet), and the more hillarious purchase total for enough electric guitars to pull off outfitting a performing group sized like PFunk thanks to soo many steals on sweet-priced guitars!
sorry for rambling, like guitar deals I buy the ramble just don't stop!

It would work great. All you need is the cable to connect the two.
Is 5 Watts enough to be heard playing with a band?
what would be a good speaker cabinet for this probably a single 12?
5w is not too loud. You might be able to play with a band, but not clean tones, and you'll have to get a bigger speaker to be heard. Or you could mic your amp through a PA. I have my amp on order so I can't tell you for sure, but if you look for a video by Andertons on this amp, they have a DB meter in the room and I usually say if you're below 100db, you're not competing with an acoustic set.
