Back on 7/3/23 when I ordered two from Amazon, they had a manufacturing date of 5/23/2023 and a "replaced by" date of 5/23/2033.
Wired ones expire after 10 years as well. Replace your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors people.
Not true. The wired have a 10 year expiration date too.

Additionally, I appreciate the power-monitoring functionality the wired alarms provide. Not only can I check the app when away to determine whether my house may have burned down, I can also get detail on when and for how long power may have been taken offline for my home.
Good luck!
Jon
At the same time, a wired alarm could function off a box previously used for a ceiling light. However, one critical issue would be making sure that in adapting such a circuit for alarm use said circuit is made un-switched (as typically most ceiling lights would have an associated wall switch).
Good luck!
