Noticed new annual plans on redpocket's website, which seem to be different than the annual plans sold on eBay.
For example, the $60 annual plan on ebay has 500 Mb data,
100 Minutes Talk and 100 Text, whereas, the $60 annual plan on redpocket has 500 minutes Talk and 500 Texts along with $500 Mb data.
This collaborative space allows users to contribute additional information, tips, and insights to enhance the original deal post. Feel free to share your knowledge and help fellow shoppers make informed decisions.
It is NOT a new offering. I have had it for over a year. $5/mo for 500MB is the regular price. NOT a deal!

If folks want to pay monthly, there's Hello Mobile @ $5/mo - also with 500MBs, and unlimited talk and text, tax inclusive price: https://hellomobile.com/shop/plans

It looks like that offer uses only T-Mobile network, convenience with RP is that you can choose any of the major networks (one that works best in your area) and then they even offer switching between carriers but it seems like old balance is forfeited and you get charged again.
In my case I keep Tracfone (Verizon) yearly 1500/1500/1500 as 2nd "backup" line for cases when there's no coverage for my main line which uses T-Mobile I can still send/receive messages which came handy quite a few times.

Good2Go will send you an AT&T SIM upon request at no cost - just make sure your phone is on AT&T's whitelist for it to work.

Sadly Att is not much improvement around my area, so far Verizon is the one that has better coverage but because the pricing on their network is too much (tried Visible and wasn't impressed either maybe because they don't have priority) decided to go for cheapest option that still uses their network..

Is it easy to switch Hello mobile plans, and is the data hard capped?

Just consider Data with RP as nill. DO NOT get any RP for data, actual regular usage. This is not the Internet you are looking for.
4G will just get blocked. Yes even with good signal. They have automated limits that error on the side of leaving you in the dark.
Their working attitude is we're not for you if you do not like our BS. They like payers who never use the system.
And even the least bad talk and text (with a local cell tower) then it is often NOT THERE when you need it.
They are stellar with your customer service at taking payment; but It's like if you need to call them, you lose. There terms of service are NOT just to keep some customer from abusing their system! It's a highly one sided monopolistic TOS. Read it. You would think perhaps, oh they wouldn't do anything to peeve their own customers and you'd be sorely mistaken. This is the game they are playing. Someone like me tries to tell you and they will suggest oh they're just complainers.
And remember; if it's all supposedly on the background carrier then RP is STILL responsible anyway, when it just does not work. In effect; they are selling you NOTHING for your non-refundable payment. If you use it for just emergency then you will likely find them out, only when it is not there for you in an emergency.
Sometimes; the lowest priced deal is hell. They are HUGE time wasters. And taking advantage of deal finders.

Yes, they are all hard-capped except the unlimited plan.
