Patiently waiting for their better trade in deals...I realized I only paid $99 for the s7+ to s8+ upgrade which was a good deal to me...paying $500 for the s9+ trade in is just meh.

This is super weird: does that mean if your phone is on the list of values (i.e. Iphone SE for $20) then you can't select "Other Smartphone" for the $200?

Good question. I wonder if there's risk that Samsung would nullify your $200 trade-in value if you send in one that is listed for $20-30. They list quite a lot of Samsung models so what other Samsung smartphone that isn't on that extensive list to be considered as "Other"?

Never dealt any situation like this trade-in before so I wonder how this works.

Basically, make sure you follow the instructions to a t aka make sure it's not on the list.
