I'd suggest anyone interested pay a bit more for something better, it would be well worth the marginal additional investment. Lots of solid entry level knives in the $35-$50 range most would be thrilled with.

I think western manufacturers need to focus on quality and stop trying competing on price. It doesn't work. The Chinese are pumping out fairly good quality knives and it's hard to justify buying a $20 chinese made Kershaw with 4Cr when I can get a $25-$35 chinese brand knife with much better construction and better materials.
They just outsource $10-$12 designs and have their name put in the handle plastic and double the price. Companies are gutting the quality of their brand in my opinion.

Nike said they'd replace them under warranty but I didn't keep the receipt and apparently it is ONE no receipt warranty (from the stamped production date) per person per lifetime lol.
Meanwhile...they pay those poor sweat shop workers like $0.60/hour to sew up their $180 shoes. I'm about over it.

I do feel the winds are shifting however. People are waking UP!
