I've been much happier since I took out my Chamberlain and put in a comparable Genie instead.

$180 is a fair price for a professional install.
That $180 for professional installation doesn't cover if you need electrical outlet.
Also, not found in the advertisement - but this unit IS home-link compatible! - So it works with cars that have home-link enabled garage door buttons.
I did not find out about this until I noticed the homelink symbol on the packaging
As it turns out, I'll now have to contact both Costco and Chamberlain tomorrow - as my unit conked out again 😭. I had assumed garage door openers fall into the 90 day return policy but I'll check and update here

Double check whether it actually works with your car. My Chamberlain from two years ago had a "newer" version of Homelink, that my 2020 Infiniti didn't support. I had to buy a separate Chamberlain transmitter, that takes up another outlet, to translate "old" Homelink signals to "new" Homelink - completely negating the added security of the newer version. I think Chamberlain is pushing v4.0 now, but a lot of cars still only have 3.0 or something like that.

So far they have been solid units. Motion sensing lights are nice,. The integrated cams are OK, a bit laggy vs. my Ring setup.
No issues with Homelink and our Hondas.

Honestly, I wonder how much longer the app will be free rather than a subscription.
Why does this exist then? Are we supposed to buy a splitter that will allow this to open 2 garage doors at the same time?
Maybe 3/4 hp is too much for **YOUR** garage door.

More like "what kind of family expects another family do to work for them without compensation". Even if you aren't handing over cash, taking them to a good meal, tickets to a game, buying lunch and dinner, etc, or a 12 pack.
Lots of super cheap people I guess.
