From what I have read, it's a hard cap - folks are not getting data at all even at 2g speed
Phenomenal deal. Thanks for posting.

Folks interested in T-Mobile-based service can get 6GBs/mo @ $7.50/mo, for 6-months ($45 total), here: https://slickdeals.net/f/16809242
90 days from purchase date. Scroll down to the Terms & Conditions tab. Yeah, who reads that, right?

Online Product Purchases. All Devices and SIM Kits purchased online ("Online Product Purchases") are not intended for resale. Online Product Purchases are ineligible for refunds after thirty (30) calendar days from the order date. Online Product Purchases bundled with a service plan must be activated within ninety (90) calendar days of the order date. Any Online Product Purchases that are not activated by customer within ninety (90) calendar days of the order date may be rendered inactive and the bundled service plan expired.

Yes, Red Pocket has made eSIMs available on all their networks.

I thought that this sounded good BUT I have never seen so many frustrated people complaining about customer (dis)service and frustration.

My plan expires in early December. If I buy now, can I hold off until December to activate?

For those that say hard or soft capped, it's soft capped, but when you've reached your monthly limit with ANY carrier (MVNO 3rd party or 1st party), the subsequent speeds are basically unuseable.

The good thing is you with Red Pocket, you can buy some extra gigs for cheap to carry you for the rest of the month. Easy peasy.

Yeah, Lyca switched to a new activation system and it's causing folks to have to reach out to support to get activated.

I was one of those people. Works well now that it's activated.

Yeah, it's good for messaging apps - basically.

That said, H2O is doing 256Kbps starting last month - which is the speeds T-Mobile customers get abroad/overseas without buying a data pass - and Spotify is able to stream without buffering.

Tello is the worst at 64Kbps, but most are 128Kbps.

If I were to order AT&T now, does RP allow me switch to T-mobile or Verizon after a month of service?

Add sales tax I presume but are any other taxes or fees ?
Sales tax only based on where the SIM card shipped. If you already had an active SIM card with them, many renewal purchasers change their eBay ship-to address to a fictitious P.O. Box in a no-tax state to avoid the sales tax on that purchase. No other taxes/fees apply to this purchase.

RP rolled out a new feature recently, Coverage Genius:

What is the CoverageGeniusSM Tool?

It allows you to switch to a different network directly within your account.

What happens to my phone number when I switch?

Your phone number will be ported (transferred) to the new network automatically. You will not need your account number and pin. Everything will be done for you.

How long does the network switching process take?

The network switching process usually takes a few minutes to complete, but it can sometimes take up to 48 hours. This is because the two networks need to communicate with each other to complete the port.

Can I keep my current cell phone plan balance when switching to a new network?

When you switch to a new network, your billing date will change, and you will be immediately charged for the new plan. Your old plan will be canceled, and you will not be refunded for unused days.

We recommend that you switch to a new plan at the end of your billing cycle so that you are only charged for the days that you use the new plan.

Have additional questions?

We hope this information clarifies the CoverageGeniusSM. Feel free to explore our CoverageGeniusSM support article or contact our customer support team if you have any questions or need.

https://www.redpocket.com/account/CoverageGenius

No mention of cost for getting a new sim, though.

I want to switch from Verizon to mvno preferably Verizon or at&t because I have good coverage. But the customer service reports have kept me away. People claim once RP gets your $$$ they won't help you. I was looking at visible because I can also add my watch for $5/mo. But these rp deals are so tempting. $10/mo with 5gb. So is it worth the gamble. How frustrating will it be?

I'll confuse you more! I've been with RP for three years now. 2 different phones, in TX and FL, both on the AT&T network and both under the annual eBay plan tier just below this one (1GB hard data cap). Both users happy. No major issues. Contacted customer service maybe 3-4 times total for minor stuff….set up issues, balance update issues. Communication was via chat and voice calls. Actual communication services have worked fine and as advertised. Perhaps important to note, both are basic-ish users. Not demanding in data usage or conference calls or mass texting.
