looks like inflated prices on their own store vs amazon

for example rice and chicken is $28 on amazon, they list it as $39.50 so 50% off is $19.75

so yes, it's still $8.25 cheaper than amazon, but it isnt really 50% off

Keep in mind that the cans are just one container full of a large amount of one type of food. Versus the pouches being individual meals. There's nothing wrong with the can, but just keep that in mind. To me I think there's valid reasons to have both pouches and cans.

Yes and I have bought a lot from Costco recently. But Costco makes you buy a case at a time or more (at least online). Mountain House you can buy single items and it still ships free.

These prices aren't too bad but compared to 15 years ago, they are more than double what I paid for my 165 #10 cans. I paid about $8.75 per can for various of the cheaper entrees such as Turkey Tetrazzini, Chili Mac, etc. My cans expire in 2038. But they will probably be ok for another 25 years beyond that. If they expire, I want to sell them back to Mountain House for tare of what I paid for their own research purposes. BTW I got all my cans online from Camping World or CampMor or some big camping retailer like that...I can't remember...
