Yes, when I was in HD the first ladder I saw was the yellow one an the price was $279, finally we found the blue ones (x5) in a pallet. Probably are the same, just they change the color to justify a new model.

Maybe they scanned the clearance bar code twice in your case.

Blue one Model#:
MT-22IAAXTHD

Sku#: 1004515609

Yellow one Model#: MT-22IAAL

Sku#: 1009507808
Ah, this must be why. My dad and I picked 2 up today. She was charging us the full price of $279, and made us go back and take a picture of the sale sticker and then she spent several minutes trying to scan-match it to no avail, but then she somehow made it work. We got the yellow version.

Thanks OP, I am moving into my new house in 2 weeks and needed a ladder, perfect timing!

There are still a couple in the Cleveland, OH area.

Are you certain? They sold both ladders to me for the $70 price!

And is there much of a difference between the two?
I believe the new, yellow ones have extendable leveling feet and weigh about 7lbs more than the blue ones... unless the yellow ones I saw for $279 (MT-22IAAL) are completely different models from the yellow you're seeing.

Good price, but beware these things are heavy as hell. Trying to tilt one of these things up alone when it is fully extended is a major PITA. Unless you really need a multi-position ladder, an extension ladder of equivalent height is MUCH easier to handle.

Anyone in St Louis area. I've check the South county, Arnold, and Sunset hills locations and nothing. Potentially saving you a trip.

I went to the north county stores when they showed having 8 and 2 in stock on Brickseek, both said in computer they had none yet over next day they dwindled one by one to zero. Likely employees but they were really friendly. Checked 3 other stores and nothing, employees told me lots of people were looking for them so I think STL is out.

These are newer version than the one you're thinking of. I have an older version that weighs a ton and will cut your fingers off if you dont secure it. This one weighs way less and as tough as the older version.
