Walmart+ is horrible. I've never seen anything as horrible as Walmart+.
Order success rate: 0%.
Ordered 4x times... simple orders. First time, they couldn't deliver by the time they stated, support rep got caught lying about the driver being at the store "as we speak"... Didn't get the order at all. 2nd time, ordered they didn't even deliver half the order... crazy... you have to get a refund after the fact. 3rd time, they claimed they didn't have some items, such as deli cheese... told me they'd substitute... then at the last minute, they bring me 4 half slices of deli cheese, not even a full slice. Insane when you considered I ordered a full pound. Last order, just milk and bread, the bread was smashed and near the sell by date.... so I had to research this... Turns out, those who order delivery will get all the stuff from the shelves customers normally pass up in the store. Basically, if they can't sell it in the store, they give it to delivery orderers, to ensure they get the worst of the worst!
Don't even do a free trial, you'll be sorry. Walmart+ has a half-star rating, couldn't even get a single star based on thousands of online ratings. You know it's a big deal when there a whole subreddit for these issues.
Have placed many dozens of orders using my free 2.5 year TMobile Walmart+ trial. Zero issues, and I am thankful that I have it when I need it for certain products. The one or two times one of my orders didn't arrive, it was a result of FedEx screwing up as usual, but a refund/reorder was a couple of clicks.
I wouldn't pay $100 for it, but highly recommend the free Walmart+ trial.
I did a free trial during covid, when it was much more common to do @store pickups. During the trial, I would try to order delivery on items. Half would say they can't be delivered, but could be picked up... which made delivery pointless due to me still needing to visit the store to pickup the rest. I could simply pick it all up and not use Walmart+! After a while it got too confusing which items were delivered from store, required to be shipped, and required picked up from the store. Canceling made things more simple... which is hilarious to me. Can't imagine paying.
Fyi, Walmart is about to launch dedicated delivery ala Amazon. No more 3rd party, where half your shit is missing. They are buying more white vans right now than Epstein's clients.
Currently, I try to get as much possible via shipping, rather than delivery, because they actually check what they are shipping.
Delivery(previously) was based on the IQ of the starving minimum wage clerk shafted with that job. Which means you never got a completed order. Strangely, it was always less than what I ordered, never more.
I would wait until dedicated home delivery launches before getting plus, unless like me, you hate going into Walmart more than fistula exploding anal cancer. Only then is it worth it.
