So Bosch has FIVE beam-wiper lines. Icon, Evolution, Clear Advantage, Insight, and Focus.

They really don't tell you much about the difference between them. Evolution and Clear Advantage use some kinda "graphite infused rubber" blade. The Icon (and apparently Focus) use some fancier rubber that is supposed to last longer. I have no idea about the Insight blades.

Some models have an aero spoiler built into the rubber backing of the beam. Others don't.

The sad/funny thing is I've used Clear Advantage, Icon, and Evolution blades and can't really enumerate the difference. I always had good luck with Icons.

OTOH, I'm not happy with the Clear Advantage I put on my Jeep Wrangler last april. Those always chatter when they swipe up. It sucks. They are cheaper though! $8 per blade lol.
You can check what size your wiper blades are here:

https://www.autozone.com/ignition...tra-n/2023
Then you'll definitely love these with a rainx treatment on your windows. I apply the rainx spray to all of my windows so all the water beads up and makes vision in the rain much better. I usually do it 2x a year and it lasts. These wipers are amazing as well since they're quiet and wipe away cleanly even after a year of having them.

A tip that may also help is get a larger wiper if you can. You can usually go up 1 size with no problem but I'm currently 2 sizes up on my chevrolet volt. They wipe the entire windshield and it's awesome.

I keep buying icons
Seems to me several years back they went from great to trash
My last sets of new ones put on 4 vehicles I think I back window also but I know I had to go with different brand for one back due to fit. The icons have all lasted less than 1 yr while in past they have lasted many years, many years, many years and then a couple and a couple now less than 1

Going to try looking at silicone again as the last c pairs of silicone I purchased was about when they came to market and were useless from day one to lasting less than 1 yr

I looked at 1-star reviews for that stuff and lots of complaints about destroying wiper fluid pumps. Maybe they're an outlier but I'll avoid

Used it for years in all 5 of our cars (not rich... we have kids! Lol). No problems ever and augments the treatments (not rain-x) I use on our windshields

Does anyone still make a replacement rubber part only? I used to be able to go into stores and buy just the rubber replacement part of the wiper blade for a buck, or a buck and a half (for 2), and then just slide it in from the side to update the wiper blades. I haven't seen that in stores in about 5 years.....

I've had my Icon blades for about three to four years out in Southern California. They came in handly last year when we had torrential rains for months. They last in the dry summer heat which hits triple digits. I thought I would have needed to change em out by now but they are still going. Just put the Evolutions on the SUV and so far so good.

If you're only buying an item or two at a time, the shipping charge my not make sense for you.

If you're buying a year's worth of maintenance items or better yet go in with a friend and you can come out significantly ahead with Rock Auto. Typically order multiple air, cabin, and oil filters plus any other items like wipers at once.
Rock Auto charge separate shipping on different items. What gives with that...... total rip off

You can apply Rain X to glasses as well (essentially what companies call "anti-fog")

Has anyone else noticed that the "last day to edit" on subscribe and save doesn't seem to apply anymore? I have a delivery scheduled for Sept 19 and I believe the last day to edit was Sept 11. It used to be that new subscriptions added between the 11 and 19 would book to the October delivery. But all of the subscriptions I tried to add this past week were just adding on to the Sept 19 delivery which already had 5 items. Annoying.

Bosh Icon has been my choice for several years now , from summer in 90's to winters below zero - any other choices have been disappointing. They've become pretty expensive but you can buy the 2 blade front window kits on Amazon now that appear to be better than what I paid last time I ordered each blade separately.

I tried Bosch Icon on my Kia Optima and it simply doesn't work. The long wiper "seems" to be too much (heavy?) for the wiper arm and it constantly judders. Cleaning, waxing, using water repellent solutions repeatedly and still juddering nonstop. Maybe it depends on the vehicle, but anecdotally Bosch Icon just didn't work for me. Wanted the best wipers but had to settle with Rain-X Latitude, and it's worked well so far.

I've noticed recently that Amazon has been fiddling around with the "send one item now and subscribe in the future" setting and its defaults

(so you may have been ordering a regular 2-day delivery for Sept. 19th on Sept. 17th.)

Does anyone think $40 for wiper blades is clinically insane? Those were like $2 light bulbs not 15 years ago.

When I got my car inspection this year, they RIPPED off and threw away my rain-X wipers and replaced them with some Bosch wipers, without asking, and charged me $54 for the "service." The new Bosch are as awful as the stock Volkswagen wipers were, they skip, chatter, and bounce off my windshield if I'm going 50 mph or up, and I can already see that they're going to hold a lot of snow and ice against the blades. Frankly, I don't know what happened, it was at the same place I had always gone before that gave me a fair deal, topped off all my fluids (they didn't this time), changed my oil with full synthetic cheaper than anyone else, but the past two years I felt like they took me for a ride.
