Apple Refurb from Micro-center, in store pickup only so YMMV. Dallas had some.
Apple M1 Pro 10-Core Chip; 16GB Unified Memory; 1TB Solid State Drive; 16-Core GPU/16-Core Neural Engine
There is 8 Core 512GB on sale for $100 less but I think its worth going with this one instead. $100 for 1TB and 10/16 core is better deal.

If you want the 16' screen size, they have it for the same price but for 512GB ram

As for "refurb" vs new. If you're on the lookout for Macbooks (air/pro), you'll already realize most deals are for the "base configuration" at brick and mortars while customization usually happens at the Apple storefront that are stingy with offers.
