Yeah I bought these last time and they are junk. Plastic does not feel good in the hand. Plus it is molded with a ridge down the middle of the handle so it scratches your palm while doing any swinging motion. Plastic is also not very sturdy so the grip doesnt feel quite right.

I would skip on this and save for something more robust.

Isn't it the point of weights to be heavy?

Why is it bad ?
They are not as durable, it is basically plastic shells filled with sand. They won't hold up like cast iron will.

Way better deal for 50lbs and it might impart some of its high strength to you as well -> https://www.homedepot.com/p/Quikr.../311757092
The problem with concrete weights is the packaging is terrible. Falls apart way to easily. Cat litter is way better. Heavy duty plastic bags are near indestructible if kept away from sharp edges. Great for farmer's carry exercises.

Just to offer a second opinion as someone who owns these - they are absolutely terrible.
Really bad, thin molded plastic filled with sand (or some kind of concrete?).
They're really oversized for the weight, so they're challenging to use properly.
One of the kettlebells arrived damaged in my package - the plastic was split in two and the sand/concrete was exposed and breaking up. So these are not very durable.
I really wouldn't recommend these to anyone for any purpose.
But the price was low enough I was willing to take a risk on them. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose... 🤷 ♂️

Seems like a good deal to me. Not going to toss them around so they should last a long time. Need some light ones for delts and forearm exercises..

No, the point is to weigh a particular amount and be comfortable to hold for exercises. It's up to the end user to decide what weights are appropriate for their exercises. I don't want to blow your mind too much but 60 year old women don't lift the same weights as 25 year old men, hence, the existence of weights that may be too light for some people.

That is the 30-lb set.

The 45-lb set is 23.99. Dropping down to this set because that 5-lb is going to never get used anyway
