Nice find! These are OEM for Honda/Acura.

edit: Even thought the product page shows in stock for shipping, they show unavailable in checkout.

I usually get the rotor + pad sets from rock auto. Even the premium ones are pretty cheap ~$100.

OEM engineering also states up to 10,000 miles between oil changes for ideal driving conditions and lifetime transmission fluid. The same OEM engineering is also pressured by executives in MARKETING to sell their products as low maintenance and cost effective. Just saying ...you decide.

Exact Fitment not available on these pads for both of my car.

Rockauto everyday price is still lower. True for 4 different pad sets fitting my 2 cars front and rear. AAP has jacked up their regular prices to the stratosphere. Even after their "so-called" discount the prices are still way too high.

I got 2 sets of fronts and 1 set of rears, how difficult is that to comprehend? Did I write my thought ambiguously?
Yes, you did write your thought ambiguously.

From the general automotive knowledge (c) standpoint, I've already said that you probably not going to need the second rear set, but, again, you be you.

Akebono pads are the best.
Make sure you "clock" your rotors to avoid pedal pulsations that feel like a warped rotor. I use a cheap dial indicator tool from harbor freight. Ever since i been doing this never have warped rotors unless there warped to start out with!
Can you elaborate on this? (thanks!)

I only saw one post from you addressing me, and had no idea what you're on about until I went through the entire thread to see you're arguing with someone else... and work on those comprehension skills as the other guy got it right away evidently.

you take measurments of the rotor runout on all possible postions on the hub and make a note wich position has the less runout (warpage) and install the rotor permently in that position on the hub. Its a little known procedure allmost no one does.

Yeah if the shops are priced similar to new rotors then I will just get new rotors lol
Yeah, it's tough to find a shop to turn rotors let alone due it for a competitive price. Boo disposable nature of our economy.

Great pads. I'm currently using them on my b8.5 S4, they are very linear and controllable vs my oem pads. Bonus is that the brake dust is almost nonexistent. Also, they are very quiet vs oem. I paired it with Zimmerman rotors.

Yeah and Scotty says turning it makes them thin so heat will affect the rotors and warp them sooner.
Am I the only person who owns a pair of calipers to just measure the damn rotor and let that determine when it needs replacement or whether it can be turned etc?

It is such a simple thing, why complicate it

They are on "sale" for the Audi A6 3.0T. Rockauto seems to be still a little cheaper, but good find if needed right now. They do come with the sensor, so might be a good deal after all.

Its actually easier to have new rotors shipped and then install vs taking off all 4 rotors to a shop, then find parking, then lug them with a hand truck, then hope they turned them correctly, then drive back and install.

OK, so rely on other guy's excellent useful information and don't worry what I say, right?
