This seems like a good deal on paper. Anyone have any experience with this model or open box?

Config is great. Why are we seeing HP Spectre deals so much lately ? Is there some issue with them ?

Might not be chargable with USB-C, no way to cap battery charge level, only DDR4, lots and lots of bloatware that might not work with the model
I thought TB4 was always able to receive power.

No, the TB4 on HP laptop means able to charge something else following the TB protocol; the reverse depends on what HP allows. You can go to Reddit and read the complains there. I was there Monday

I have the 13.3" version and my phone charger does not charge it. Nevertheless, I love mine tho. High built qualify, nice keyboard and touchpad, and stereo. Definitely worth the money.

BB version does not include the pen btw. I bought an OEM one on eBay for $25 and it works great.
It's not about just using ANY usb-C though. For laptops it has to have 20V output support which starts with 45W+ USB-C adapters but even then it needs to be checked since not all do it (USB-A port on one end and USB-C connector on the other end cables I think wouldn't t work either).

The iitem title description says "pen included"?

Most of BB deals for me are not-replicatable forme.Likely due to BB running some algorithm deciding that it had enough sales and it's time to raise the price, or simply unavailable in my area..

My phone charger will not charge either of my USB C laptops either nor my Steam Deck...but an adequate USB C charger will. Generally you'll want 45w+ to charge a laptop when powered down / asleep or 60w-100w for charging during use. A standard phone charger is not even likely to be recognized by the laptop, or any modern laptop for that matter.

1) Google "HP Spectre x360 USB C charging" 2) Only DDR4? This is a tiny 2-in-1, not likely going to see DDR5 unless you want to move to double this price point while maintaining the rest of the config. 3) There is a place in Windows that lets you 'add or remove programs.' You might need to search for it. Very strange name for that area inside the control panel. Once you get there the ordeal of removing the unneeded programs is a 3-4 minute process on a new machine.
