Xiaomi is another Chinese make to avoid if at all possible due to embedded spyware. If you do not care about that stuff - knock yourself out.

So far great tablet compared to my kids previous tab A7 lite and Tab A 8.0.

I'm still a bit wary of the battery life though. Seems to not last as long on full brightness.

The most minimum volume is quite a bit louder than the Samsungs but that was fixed with an app.

Overall imo its a good tablet for kids. If you want something better at this size and have a bigger budget, Samsung will be releasing a Tab A9, 8.7 inch with a G99 processor which is probably 60% faster as this G80 one.

Thanks for the info! I will wait for Samsung A9. I loved my Samsung A7 but it only has 32G storage with bloatware. I can't really install anything on it with little space left. Not every apps can be installed in sd card. My next tablet will have at least 64G.
I never bought a Lenovo tablet as I had a Lenovo cell phone before. I learned my lesson with that cellphone: low storage, limited upgrade option, small chance of Android upgrade.

There's still no details on the screen resolution. Hopefully its like the 1200 x 1920 from the older Tab A8.4 they made back in 2020.

My kid has M8 with display - 8.0" FHD (1920 x 1200) touchscreen
This one has 9.0" HD (1340 x 800) IPS, touchscreen, 400 nits

Why does the new gen of tablet has worse resoution? Or am I interpreting it wrong?

This looks pretty similar to the specs of the HD 10 Kindle. Except for the operating system. It should be nice to have Android 12 on a kindle.

Is Lenovo ever going to release Legion Y700 tablet in North America?
A small gaming Android tablet is money on the table for some reason no brand is taking.

I can install it and check, but I am not exactly an auto technician so I couldn't tell you much more beyond "the app starts" or not

I've given up on waiting for that. They've released 2 already and neither were global versions.
