Not the same device. This is a monitor and NOT a TV. Look at the pictures of the back. I have this monitor and love it as you can display 4 separate devices at the same time. Ive had it for close to 3x years now. Code does work making it $400. I would buy it again.

I've used the predecessor of this monitor (LG 43UD79-B) since 2017. The USB-C supports DP-alt mode over Thunderbolt with the right cable. Monitor volume can also be controlled over USB-C/Thunderbolt on a Mac with add-on software that supports CEC… something like SoundSource or eqMac or soundflower, etc. Just a couple of tips for any Mac users that give this monitor a go.

Looks like a decent deal for a large productivity monitor with -60w USB-C. Shame it has such a low refresh rate and high response time.

Wonder how flexible the multi input is. Is it either 4 quarters, or 1 big one only? Or can you have the whole left side as one, then the right side split in half? I see a PIP thing too - I guess that mode the inset picture is blocking content in the base image, like good ol' pip used to be?

Clearly you don't understand what I'm talking about. I have a 32" 4k monitor at 100% scaling and hate it. I would use 125% but when I do software design, scaling messes stuff up.

If you want 100% scaling where you're actually using the resolution that you're paying for to it's fullest extent, get this size. If you use 150% scaling, just buy a 1440p monitor of the same size and use 100% scaling and things will be close to the same size.
That's 'cause you don't know what you're talking about. You're equating SCALING to LOWERING YOUR RESOLUTION.

A 150% scaling on this monitor will still look better than 100% at 1440p.

I ordered earlier this week under the same coupon and it gets delivered today. I am replacing 2 ultrawides in an over/under configuration with this one display. I have had good luck with existing LG monitors longevity so hoping this one is the same (despite some negative reviews).

I attached a picture of the PIP/PBP menu for you.

Is your 32" LG a 1440P or 4K monitor? Please post your thoughts on this 43" beast once you get it up and running. I'm curious to know your thoughts on it vs the 32" you have now.
My 32" is also 4K. I will post my comparison thoughts after I receive it. Hoping for same quality, just a larger size.

Great work monitor, I have been using it for 3 years now and can't say enough good things about it. My only issue is that USB C died and it was out of warranty by then so I had to revert back to using HDMI.

. Just curious if you've ever noticed this so called swirling or moire effect on your Hisesnse panel?
That's weird - I have not seen that effect on the hisense that I have or any other 4K tv, and I've used a few different video cards and OSes.

I received this monitor yesterday and compared it with my LG 32UP83A-W IPS 4k 32". The colors are definitely more washed out and not as vibrant. The black level is not as dark and text is not as clear either. Used same settings on both. Almost looks like IPS vs. PVA, just without the color shift. If you didn't test them side by side it may not be an issue, but it is a deal breaker for me after doing so. The 32" size with 4k is just about perfect and anything larger is just too big IMO unless you sit really far away.

Thanks for the comparison. Bummer that it didn't work out for you but you never know until you give it a goSmilie

Hi,
I have the same monitor and its great but was not aware of Logitech Flow. Does the Logitech flow need to be installed on both computers for PIP or can it just be installed on one? Thanks!
Logitech Flow doesn't do PIP, it just allows you to switch between multiple devices. Another software that's worked great for me is called Barrier. It's free open source software. There's a paid solution called Seamless that's forked off of Barrier, but I haven't tried it.

Get an extended warranty if you can, do not rely on LG to stand by this monitor

Concerning that LG is clearing this out on Ebay and offering such a low price. Good luck with a return on Ebay. If you have $400 to gamble--go ahead.

I bought this monitor and it stopped working after 4 months. (No video signal using USB C or HDMI) Tried it on windows pc, mac, and various laptops. It was returned to LG for repair. After 3 weeks came back, It worked for another 5 months and stopped working. I am within 1 year warranty. Called LG, they will not issue a refund, so sent it back for a 3rd time. Came back unrepaired (WTF). There was a large black vertical line running down the center of the monitor. I started calling LG again and got the run around until 4 weeks later they would not issue a refund but would only agree to another return. This is the 4th return. What a time suck and negative experience this has been. LG was been terrible in their customer service.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the HDR capability of this monitor. You can activate it in Windows, and the color gamut is stronger, dynamic range noticeably better, overall brighter.
