The circular saw is the only tool I have from Ryobi that I am not actually a fan of. Blade tends to get stuck often in the middle of a cut. Frustrating. I tend to favor the plug in saws if I had a longer cut to make. For short cuts on 2x4 or something similar, Ryobi is fine.

I think it's really dependent on how much you use them. I've had Ryobi has my main line and do pretty much everything DYI. I've yet to be unhappy. That said, I've only seen pros use Milwaukee or Dewalt. I don't know how much beating Ryobi can take in comparison.

For someone with a new house and a lot of DIY projects, what are the top 2 most useful tools to add to the drill/impact driver kit?

Too bad the tools that these attach to are garbage.
They may not be what you need, but I wouldn't say they are garbage

Really solid Ryobi deals this year.

Nothing wrong with ryobi tools, don't believe the haters lol.

Its very much preference outside of very profession specific tools. But just the basics like drills, saws, lights... Ryobi will do the job.

The inflator and the circular saw are the 2 I would pick for all around home use. Replace the inflator with the reciprocating saw if you plan to do some home renovation projects but other which the inflator will get more general home use imo.

How come I only get the $200 promo regardless of what tool I select? I can't get the $99 even though I'm doing the battery + blower or battery + orbit sander. Both are listed in the $99 category.
Same issue. The batteries show $200 for me as well. Is this location based?

Move on if they're no use to YOU. But these are great tools for DIYers.

Kind of torn. I want a jigsaw that will rarely get used so can't justify buying Dewalt to go with my other stuff. I already have a battery adapter for another rarely used Ryobi tool. I'm starting to think I should just go ahead and get the proper batteries.

Are you selecting the 99 battery as linked and not the 199 battery with 2 tools?

Ordered for delivery. Was able to cancel an individual item (batteries) from the order page on the website for the first time. Have never been able to cancel individual items before like others have.

Anybody have the mini chainsaw? I have a telescopic chainsaw from a different manufacturer, and after cutting so many limbs, the chain pops off. I'm just wondering if this thing stays together and you can get through a job without a lot of fixing along the way.
I have the mini chainsaw. Absolutely love it, with the 4A or 6A battery it is a great tool.

Besides the 6, I have the 8 and 10 also. Plus tree pruners, and, several gas powered saws and manual tree pruners.

I was in a bucket lift for two weeks on my property with hundreds of trees, pruning dead limbs, trimming up, taking some trees out ... just rotating tools as needed depending on the size of the cut and letting the saws and batteries cool off a bit ... as it was the heat of the summer.

Great tool. I did exchange it ( the 6" mini saw ), because right away it just did not sound right, under a bit of pressure it sounded like a broken drill or some loose bolts in a jar ... it did not die on me, but the others are just quieter and never made any of that sound over the years I had it. The replacement has it less, so far. It may be inherent to the system. I won't know till next year probably until I do a second wave of pruning. Anyway.

Great one hand feeling. I was cutting with either hand.

Super easy to get in tight spaces. Or even reach around a bit when the bucket couldn't reach.
Hold a branch with one hand to support it, cut with the other, toss the branch where needed.

The plastic guard on top flexes, so when doing flush cuts, you will be shaving some plastic off of it.

It is oilless ... so no leaking oil like with the 10" or with the tree pruner. But to help the tool, I periodically drizzle some of the organic saw oil from Ryobi that comes in a small bottle ( just punch two holes in the little foil under the cap, shake before use ) along the chain & bar edge, and then let it run for two seconds, so it draws the oil in the bar and spreads it. Hopefully that helps with durability. As I don't quite like the idea of oilless.

Anyway.

Lovely little saw.

If I could get the Jobsite Vacuum with this deal, I'd be all over it.
