The circular saw is the only tool I have from Ryobi that I am not actually a fan of. Blade tends to get stuck often in the middle of a cut. Frustrating. I tend to favor the plug in saws if I had a longer cut to make. For short cuts on 2x4 or something similar, Ryobi is fine.

I think it's really dependent on how much you use them. I've had Ryobi has my main line and do pretty much everything DYI. I've yet to be unhappy. That said, I've only seen pros use Milwaukee or Dewalt. I don't know how much beating Ryobi can take in comparison.

trying to decide between the 1 hand reciprocating saw and mini chainsaw. I already have a regular reciprocating saw and a pole chainsaw. wonderting which one would be better for cutting branches too big for loppers where the regular reciprocating saw is overkill or cutting shrubs at the root level which are too big for loppers. I am guessing but not sure the 1 hand reciprocating saw is better?
Looks like whodini answered your question before..
If you think the mini chainsaw is going to be used near the soil, I would recommend using a longer recip saw. Aside from that, the mini chainsaw is a better deal and may want to grab it.

Not a fan of recip saws for pruning, they're impractical for anything large and generally a vibrating mess for the smaller stuff. She likely won't care for that aspect, at all. They actually do have a limited yardwork use -- in the ground cutting roots. Otherwise some sort of chainsaw is the proper power tool for trimming trees. With the caveat that there's more potential for danger in (mis)handling a chainsaw.

My 2 cents, the most cost effective and easiest storing solution for a typical suburban homeowner who's pruning a dozen small limbs a year is a nice pair of loppers and a manual pruning saw or two, upgrade to a small chainsaw/polesaw if you have money to burn or bigger jobs to do and will maintain the chain properly, but forget the recip saw for this job.
I am mostly in agreement with you, but have a question. If I am pruning a lot of bushes, a 2 handed lopper becomes time consuming. Wouldnt a 1 handed reciprocating saw be a lot faster?

How is the compact 1/2" impact wrench compared to p262? I will likely just use to for taking of lugs on my car or my wife's SUV

Is there a way to place 2 (one battery + free tool set) on the same order? It says limit 5, but when I try to add a second set, the only option is to replace the free tool. I dont want to place 2 orders because I have a promo code that only works on 1 order.

What is that promo code? And how do we get it?

The great debate Milwaukee & Dewalt are just as affordable. I rather pick those BUT get what you like. I owned Ryobi in the past and they worked fine for intended home purposes

A reciprocating saw might be a better tool depending on the shrubbery.

If I need to cut something flush to the ground, I dig around it exposing the roots. Not sure if a reciprocating saw blade would hold up better to cutting into the dirt.

Looking at reviews doesn't look like it does well at breaking lug nuts. I'll pass

For someone with a new house and a lot of DIY projects, what are the top 2 most useful tools to add to the drill/impact driver kit?
multitool and circ saw - there's a reason the multitool is called that. You'll find all sorts of random things to use it for, I'm sure. Circ saw is also kind of a basic need for a bunch of reno stuff.

Is the circular saw 6 1/2 worth it? Or is the 7 1/4 the go to? The 7 1/4 is not included in this promotion.

Also what do you guys use the multi tool for?
I have the 7 1/4, but from what I've seen doesn't seem the 6 1/2 isn't too bad. 5 1/2 seems to get a bit of hate. Maybe look up some comparison videos.

Use the multi tool for everything honestly. Need to remove a random nail? Multi tool. Undercut door jambs? Multi tool. Plunge cut drywall for lights? Multi tool. Sand tiny spaces? Multi tool.
Though I do have to say that the Ryobi multi tool is kinda fiddly to get attachments on.

This is not just Ryobi, this deal is for Milwaukee, DeWalt and Ridgit tools too and available in stores as well. YMMV based on availability but you can use the deal online anyway.
