Same company/manufacturer, different product tier.

The circular saw is the only tool I have from Ryobi that I am not actually a fan of. Blade tends to get stuck often in the middle of a cut. Frustrating. I tend to favor the plug in saws if I had a longer cut to make. For short cuts on 2x4 or something similar, Ryobi is fine.

I think it's really dependent on how much you use them. I've had Ryobi has my main line and do pretty much everything DYI. I've yet to be unhappy. That said, I've only seen pros use Milwaukee or Dewalt. I don't know how much beating Ryobi can take in comparison.

I have had the same experience, even switched over to a 4ah battery and it helped some. It's light and small so a quick small cut it works fine.

I've had the original Brushless 7 1/4 circular saw since it came out. I have no issues with it at all. If it binds up in anything, a corded saw would have as well. I only run it with the 6ah or 9ah battery as it sucks a lot of power. Anything smaller is just not powerful enough in my experience.

Aw dang I have the router coming today for $58... If I had done the 3 item hack and left two behind could have had it for $36.

Got the multi-tool for $50, returned the battery immediately after picking up, no questions asked.

Thanks OP!

Came for the batteries and picked up the grease gun. Perfect for my boat and trailer. Sell the charger on CL $10-$20 makes this a pretty good deal at $80-$90.

Ryobi fills in the gaps of my Makita lineup. Scored some pretty sweet deals over the last few years. For moderate use and price paid they've been nothing short of impressive. Solid platform great tool selection.

Last deal I picked up had (2) of the higher end 4.0ah batteries so these will be relegated to road trip duty on the tire inflater, torch and 3/8" impact. If they get stolen easily replaced by another SD!

Now just need a SD on their new battery jump starter and I'm set.

I've also had this happen cutting 2x4s with the Ryobi ( although it's a few years old so might not be the exact one in this deal).

Can the combo be purchsed in store as opposed to on-line?

I mostly needed the battery and charger. I got a 6.5 inch circ saw because the 5.5 inch circl saw with the comob kit is not powerful enough (brushed) and the blade isn't long enough for cutting 2x4.

Has anyone tried returning the free tool and getting a prorated amount back? What can I generally expect the prorated amount to be?

Watched a youtube video where they claimed the 2x 4aH battery for $99 will include the grease gun as an option for BF. Holding out for that.

Take a look at the right angle grinder. Looks pretty useful. Didn't know they existed
