The circular saw is the only tool I have from Ryobi that I am not actually a fan of. Blade tends to get stuck often in the middle of a cut. Frustrating. I tend to favor the plug in saws if I had a longer cut to make. For short cuts on 2x4 or something similar, Ryobi is fine.

I think it's really dependent on how much you use them. I've had Ryobi has my main line and do pretty much everything DYI. I've yet to be unhappy. That said, I've only seen pros use Milwaukee or Dewalt. I don't know how much beating Ryobi can take in comparison.

Battery pack raised price to $232?
Shows $232 for me as well. Either deal is dead or price in cart is not calculating correctly. A few of their website pages still have $99 + free tool listed.

Offer is not dead. I do see that the combo discount through the battery page + adding a tool seems to not be functional at applying the discounts in the cart right now but I believe that to be simply temporarily glitched. Here are the alternative links to purchase the $99 combination using the bundled method:

For the two 18V 4Ah battery and charger + select tool for $99, go here [homedepot.com].

---
(If ever the $199 combination gets glitched as well, here's the alternative links for that as well) For the brushless drill driver & impact driver kit with two HP 18V 2Ah batteries, select tool + bonus tool for $199, go here [homedepot.com].

While currently OOS, I found this product [homedepot.com] combination is listed at only at $99 but would normally cost $199 as part of the combo. It's something I would keep an eye out for if you were interested in the brushless drill driver, impact driver, inflator/deflator, and 2x HP 2ah batteries. NO guarantees that it will return in stock though.

The bundled 4.0 Ah batteries/tool worked for me. Like you said, seems to be a glitch with the battery link + adding tool manually.

Edit: Seems to be working again.

I tried to order this morning and the free tool was not free.

Now seems to be available again. I will order and wait to see if DTO has better deal in a couple of weeks (looking for trimmer and leaf blower combo).

Look at your order history and get the tracking numbers of your batteries. Look it up on carrier's website. Mine was the opposite, batteries arrived next day (shipped from HomeDepot 30 miles away), and the tool came a couple days later (shipped from Idaho).

Did your 2nd shipment have any tracking progress? My 2nd shipment has shown no progress just label created. It's been a three days since my tool only arrived.

If it's still stuck at label created after 3 days, I would contact HD customer service. Yes, mine showed tracking. That's how I found out they were both coming on different shipments.
