Beginning September 25, every U.S. household can again place an order to receive four more free COVID-19 rapid tests delivered directly to their home via USPS (link below will be active on September 25th).

How to order free COVID tests:
Four free tests will be available for each household to request through the government's COVIDTests.gov portal beginning on Monday, Sept. 25
Tests will be shipped through the U.S. Postal Service, and would not be directly affected by a potential government shutdown if Congress fails to pass a funding bill by the end of the month.

These tests have greatly helped people I know by letting them catch it early enough to quarantine and keep it from spreading to their households, which I might add is also a difficult task which will require a little effort and knowledge.

edit: keep on getting replies to this - i know about the updated expiry dates, i actually used them 6 months past the new updated recommendation.
can guarantee 3 months past updated expiry bc i got covid nov 2022 and the tests original exp was like in june same year
The virus load wasn't high enough for the cheapie test to see it likely.
