I was tested daily via PCR. Had a cache if swab tests I would take at home before going to work if I had a slight suspicion I was infected. Never had a false positive of a false negative. PCR tests, maybe 20 swabs, and it all were consistent with each other.
Not saying the cannot be inaccurate. I know PCR is vastly more accurate, however, to say these are pretty useless is false.
