If you're not used to cooking with stainless steel, then yea you would say "everything sticks." If you knew how to use them and followed the instructions, you wouldn't have that issue.

anyone get some more information on this? I actually bought both sets, and i'm still struggling to see the difference. The tramontina seems a bit heavier for some of the pots, but not sure if that's in my head? they otherwise seem quite similar, except i think the calphalon selection of pots/pans fits my needs a bit better...but i don't want to get something that's "lower gauge" or less likely to last.
